Hi,I too paid 50k. I didnt bother much about it as the delivery was to be taken in 3 days and car was available with the dealer.

POST SALE CHARGES 6,950

DO you think thats he is charging reasonably. What is this POST SALE CHARGES. Is insurance amount OK? has he cut down on insurence amount to make profit as to keep OTR equal. Can you give me breakdown of your quote. Thanks

Post Sale charges refer to delivery charges and i paid 7k here in Bangalore for the same.Its not something they should charge but has become a norm across all dealers and brands.
Insurance can be done at a lesser price than this. I got it from ICICI Lombard .They had 2 options 13k for normal insurance and 16k for zero depreciation. I took the latter.

I got my Asta(O) at 6.84L here in Bangalore. RTO charges around 87k but booking amount i gave was merely 5k .

Hi,

That's what I was thinking.I am not gonna pay 50k for the booking amount for a car I will take delivery in December! I would rather have that in my bank and earn interest.

Will get back to you guys after I have the break up of their charges.

Why to book now if you are going to take delivery in December. People are anticipating some discount on grand soon as its taking head on with i20. I heard one person getting i20 sportz 6.3 OTR. Hyundai will have to give discount on grand as initial hype over grand are going to subside soon as various reviews will start emerging.

Sales person will only see his profit. Dont believe his words. It will only be company's decision to give discounts or not. Here in hyderabad era, magna ,sportz and asta models are readily available in a week but asta (o) has a waiting period of 6-8 weeks. I dont know the reason but I feel people are interested in buying the top end as its more VFM. I feel once the advance bookings are done hyundai will surely give discounts. Instead of taking delivery in december end I will advise you to take it on january first or second week. Will save you one year while resale. Also you will get the new batch.

i20 sportz 6.3 OTR, should be a better deal then?
Apart from handling I think I20 scores more on every point compared to grand.

The person who got sportz i20 in 6.3 OTR was from Delhi. Even I was once in dilemma as one of my friend here in hyderabad got i20 magna (o) in 6.2 OTR after getting 30K discount. As per various reviews grand has better steering feedback than other hyundai cars and better suspension than i20.

Thats righ, grand has these two plus points,but still in average Indian mindset a bigger car for same bucks is an attractive deal lot of people will fell for that.
IMO teh fuel economy of Grand should be better than I20.

Also Grand has rear ac vents,rear seat recline angle is good(its not comfortable in i20 for long drives),more aggressive brakes,better fuel efficiency

Grand is a new launch,better resale.Next gen i20 will be launched next year
