Dont go by indicator, its highly nonlinear (or say highly manipulated by Hyundai[:D]). My first FE was 14.5 the it came to 13.5 (when i posted the figure in city) Now I feel its hovering around 11.5 - 12.
After fuel indicator crosses first mark it comes down lightening fast.

Bad News: Battery discharge problem persists even after software upgrade. [anger] I went to Hyundai Facebook today and found people complaining about it even after software update. What has gone wrong with it, that too from a company which has been there for decades.

It has become a well known concern about Grand now among aware buyers.
Better hyundai address it before it harms GRANDs image and Sales[frustration]

Are you talking about manually adjusting the front lights? Have you got any issue with the stock settings?

That dial is to set the intensity of the front lights.
0 - Front light only visible to driver.
1 - Front light only visible to driver and the front passenger.
3 - Front light visible to everyone onboard.
It is not like that buddy.the switch is to adjust the low beam focus on different load conditions ie
0 - driver only.
1 - driver and the front passenger.
3 - with rear passenger
4- on full load
While load increases, you have to adjust the switch to get the low beam focus on road, if not light will go to higher. You can see and feel the motor working and the focus going down while you change the switch with head lights on with low beam.it will not change high beam.

Yes I read it on Hyundai's facebook page. One of the user has said as he raised the complain again after software update service centre changed his battery. He mentioned that he will update whether the issue is there or not. Let us see.

Grand being such a nice car and chart buster for hyundai, they should come immediately with a solution. I dont know why they didnt officially identify the problem yet. I feel the problem is continuing with few batches. There have been 33000 grands sold till last month but only handful of complains have been registered. One thing I have noticed that the car manufactured in a particular plant ( is there a plant in kerla??) have most complains. One can identify the manufacturing plant by car's VIN number.

Hi, I want to know about servicing schedule of grand i10. Manual reads 1-2 month or 1200 to 1400 Kms. I am about to complete one month and have around 400 Kms on odometer. Can I give it for servicing? I am keen to do so as I to get a scratch fixed.

I think he read it from Hyundai Facebook page. What is your experiance with Hyundai batteries allhyundaicars.
i never faced any problems with the battery but yeah changed santro's battery because my sis forgot to turn off the headlights. i have remote keys for my verna , never faced any issues.

and sx and sx(o) verna models comes with smart keys just like grand's but no one reported any issue related to battery discharge.

i wonder why only grand faces this issue. verna also have similar keys but no problems reported regarding battery. i also hope problem is in specific lots and hope they correct it soon.

manual should specify 1 or 2 months. what's the meaning of writing 1-2 months [sleep] anyways take the car at the end of 2nd month. they will just check oil levels and wash the car. and they will persuade you to get underbody treatment and teflon done. just don't get it done from SC. if you want take the car to a professional detailer.

It says within 2 months or 1200-1500 Kms... As I wrote I want to get some of the scratches repaired as soon as possible.Shall I take it now or wait upto 2 months?
