friends. today i went for pdi. have to take delivery tomorrow. i brought this issue to the salesperson and he told that this problem has been sorted out in new batches.

I hope so. have my finger crossed. One more thing..my asta o was fitted with appolo tires instead of goodyear. is it ok.

He did not say in detail but told initially this problem was there. He might be just saying this for my satisfaction. I will have to figure out? I have a multimeter, will check after few days how much current car sucks from the battery while idling.

Parth, I have two queries for you:
1. Are apollo tires with my grand OK. salesperson told grand comes with different tires, that depends on batches.
2. My reverse parking sensor does not show distance from the objest on the rear view mirror like one I have seen on i20. It just give beap sound. How about you?

Its just not about grand in many cars tyres change with batches.
Yes,the reverse parking sensor does not show distance. However the sound increases
With reducing distance from the object.

yes frequency of the beep sound was increasing with distance but I would have loved that graphic parking sensor. My friend got it for just 3k for his ritz and it's display warns you visually with distance from the object as well as with audio.

I remember you had asked for seat covers. I had got them for 3.5k from dealer. Though i10 is written over them

Dealer gave me nothing, I had to purchase floor mats and mudguards for 1350, body cover for 1300.

I am planing to buy new car and choose grand i10 but confuse about mileage because it’a a new car,
Can you please tell me what is the real mileage of grand i10 in petrol and diesel in both city and highway.
This is defiantly help to decide which car suits me.

AS far as petrol model is concerned I have been observing 16+ on highways,yet to test in city conditions. However one of our fellow Member is getting @12KMPL in banglore traffic(you can refer earlier posts for details)

I will post pics today. I didnt chose anything whatever he gave I accepted as I didnt want to soil original fabric. BTW they are brown and beize and match with interior. Material is that soft fur type. I dont know what we call it. If better covers be available in future for grand i will buy them as well.

I will ask about these things today while taking delivery and update you.
Just for your information I read about one grand i10 magna (p) user complaining about same battery discharge on hyundai page. So as we were speculating its not coz of keyless entry. seems like a faulty component. Could be alternator or a most probably a relay. Same thing happened to our maruti 800 like 10 years back. A roadside mechanic simply changed the relay and voila problem was gone. Let us see

As I am out of the station as of now.
My grand was pulling without pressing accelerator in second gear as well. Is it ok. I know I must appriciate this but iam so in love with this anything unusual is making me a little apprehensive. May be because I was driving a 1000 cc before so finding it more powerful. Your views?

And if you were driving below 1000 cc vehicle before yes you will feel the power a lot. I felt it when I changed from M800 to my Sparky.

Is your car a diesel? Diesel Grand pulls on its own without pressing the pedal,seen in almost all diesel cars because of the extra torque

No mine is petrol asta option. Have heard about good low end torque of kappa 2. What I observed once car gains a momentum on a free road I dont have to keep pressing accelerator in third gear even. It was moving on its own though wiith a constant speed. I remember how on maruti 800 I was always riding accelerator to maintain speed.
