Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol. 1000Kms & Banged (Details on Page 5)
@parth
It is an issue for sure then. A car battery is not supposed to get discharged within a week. Is it because of keyless entry as receiver needs to be activated all the time?
Did you think of removing fuse while keeping it idle? My father's Wagon R battery retained its charge even after 2 months?
It happends to me with my M800 as well with my Sparky also (only once). I had faced this problem a lot.
In case of M800, Mostly I used to take car in the evening. Assume I take my car after long gap (say a week or 10 days) it wont start. I will request my son and when he pushes it will get start. I happily go with AC and Head Light. Go to shop shutdown the car go for purchase and come back after some time start the car it wont start. Battery would n't have charged since i was using both AC and Head light (this is what told to me). I changed my battery and it was okie for some time and again the problem came. It was new battery. When I went for second time to change my battery, I explained the whole thing to the battery shop guy and he guided me to some electrician (Some how I miss him and no touch with him now) and he checked and told me that some problem with my alternator and battery is not being charged fully. Then he directly connected a wire from alternator to battery and that is it. I never had any problem after that.
In case of my sparky, there was time where there was some road work due to drainage break down so I could n't take my car out for more than 15 days and had this problem. Then I removed battery and gave it with battery shop and charged it for 15 hours. That is it. Till now no problem. Touch wood.
