Could you provide some pictures of the scratches and damages? Even my front bumper has scratches on the sides, however it does not make sense of repainting the entire bumper. In terms of future claims being denied, i'm not sure how much of it is true. I think they are trying to make as much as money possible on this repainting job which is not really required. It is true that in future, claims are processed only on the recent damages and not on old ones. In any case, you have to incur your own expenses on repainting the front bumper once it gets more damaged, however, depending on the extent of the scratches currently present, it can be skipped for now.

Hi Ayan, check the above url. 2nd image is of RHS fender where you can see scratched paint on the wheel arc running from fender to front bumper. 1st image is of front LHS bumper corner. The HASS said to repaint both the panels i.e entire front bumper and RHS fender which i feel is unnecessary.

However i would like to know your & othere viewpoints.

Yes, with the fuse-off condition. I was rather surprised.

Yes, they will surely charge and so will the road side guys. I need to get the extended warranty. How much were you charged and for how many years and how many kilometres?
This time for the diwali vacations I left my car unused for 7days. Took the risk and kept it with FUSE-ON condition.
Guess whatt the car started like any other day on the 8th day morning.Even without a small gruntt of cranking[clap]. I hope the battery drain problem has left me for good[:D].

Few days back, a tailgating innova rammed into my 8 month old Gi10 & sped away. Since that guy sped away & the incident happened on the highway, we couldn't stop the car to check the damages or speak with the Innova driver.

.....
Please refer to some of the initial posts. My car was rammed from behind in a months time. I had to do the bott alignment bumber replacement and painting etc.
Paint quality at the HASS is not an issue at all.

These look very minor and does not require a full repair at this stage. You can skip these.

Also fitted ring shaped LEDs, connected with parking, pretty bright

I have ran into one issue though, the mechanic connected the DRL wire to Fusebox as given in the pic, In our car even after the ignition is off, current flow through that fuse and after 90 secs DRLs switch off (Mistakenly they are like a come home light now). Friends please suggest some other wiring mechanism to correct this.

This is very good news[clap] . How much did you spend in the 30k service,i.e the first paid service? What consumables were replaced?

I am giving my Grandi10 Petrol for 10k service ( ie second service as per manual). For the first service, just cleaning been done.
What can I expect to get changed apart from Engine oil change ? What are the cautions to be followed to avoid extra cost? I will get the wheel alignment done outside. Any other pointers would of great help?

just ask them to change the oil , oil filter and air filter replaced and nothing else.
don't go for engine polish ,engine decarb, supercharger ( a fluid) ac vent cleaning etc. no need for throttle body cleaning , spark plugs ( needs to be done on 30k)

Can I know the the approximate cost to expect for the above mentioned job work?

What will be the recommended oil ( Synthetic or mineral) ? Which engine oil brand do I need to opt for ? Can I have the option to choose ? How about the air filter ? I don't want K & N filter and want to replace Hyundai accessory itself.

I am bit concerned as generally what I heard is that the service advisor tend to push the certain jobs (like wheel alignment, engine polish etc ) , so that to increase the cost and thereby benefits the sales advisor / dealer and if not accepting it, he might not service the vehicle properly. If SA tends to push, what might be the best to opt from his list of unnecessary jobs?

Hi I have added my 10K service cost including the breakup in earlier posts.Dont remember it exactly now.
But the best way is to refer your service manual and the jobs recommended by Hyundai. If you have no issues with the car just stick to what is written in the service book.

they will use servo mineral oil and they don't have any other. what's your yearly running ? i will say use mineral oil and don't go for synthetic if your running is low.
they will replace with hyundai original air filter.

like i said before just say no to all those extra jobs and no he will do his work properly.

before going for the service check the color of the oil and after the service ask him to show the color of the oil and the new filter. it should be golden-yellow and air filter is easily accessible.

ask for feedback form and rate based on your experience. feedback form has serial number so they cant misplace it even if you rate it bad.
it should cost around 800 -1200 rupees.

I will try to locate your earlier posts. If you come across let me know. Do you have the cost break up of the jobs done ? I have no issues with my Grand.
During my first service they did some clutch play, which initially I was not comfortable with and not requested for it too. But later, I adapted for the new clutch setting. Will they do it again ? Also, during my first service, the SA didn't go by the manual and just the cleaning been done.

Thanks

My running is less. I am perfectly OK with the engine oil that's currently inside the engine. But I am not sure whether it's mineral or synthetic. Is the vehicle came with mineral oil ?
Do you mean to say that the total cost will be 800 - 1000 rs or you meant the engine oil cost alone ? Is it possible to give me the cost break up ?

I am going to say No to all the unnecessary jobs and replace with the Hyundai air filter. Thanks

Just found the cost of second service to be Rs 1900 / in your earlier pages and it seems that you got the wheel alignment and balancing done at service center too.
Then you can expect the cost to be around 1200-1300 bucks. Rest follow what allhyundaicars suggested. The car comes with mineral oil from the factory. Go for mineral only. And allhyundaicars meant full service cost to be around 800-1200 bucks if I am not wrong.
