Hi Kevi

Those 14 inch wheels do look bad and 15 inch alloys would look much better. However there's more to it than fuel efficiency. While upsizing the total difference between the current tyre wheel combo and the one you intend to put shoulnt be more than 3% and it will effect your tachometer and speedometer. With a upsized tyre technically the speedometer should be calibrated again as well to match the increased diameter of the wheel however this is not very common. Following is a tyre calculator link: Tyre Upsizing, Tyre Upsizing Calculator, Tyre Upgrade, Upgrading tyres, Michelin Tyre dealer in chennai, Authorised Michelin Tyre dealer in chennai, Michelin India, Michelin Tyres, tyrestore chennai

Use this to check which tyre alloy combo will be with the 3% difference range. With 15 inch wheel I think you may have to decrease the tyre's sidewall to keep it within 3% or close to it. Good luck.
Thank you so much.... that was a huge help. I have done the calculation and I think I will settle for 175/60 R15. Difference in circumference is 65.66 mm or 3.67%. I am assuming that will be ok. Thanks again

Hey , everyone

My dad just gifted me a grand i10 asta (o) petrol .
I am pretty much happy with everything this car offered me (loaded with features) , especially the light steering wheel , i drive mostly in a single lane highway , and a small city like rajpura , where people tend to show up at any time from any place , where comes in the superb braking quality .

since i live in a different town and parents in a different town , i drove this car from noida , second day after i got the car delivered .

we paid a total of 6,30,000 for this specific model after a discount of 50,000 with all accessories free.(teflon + anti rust + seat covers (art leather) + floor mats + body cover )

This is my Fortnight review of the car .

Ride - 8/10
Handling - 8/10
Features - 9 /10
Value for Money - 9/10

Fuel Economy - While reading a lot of reviews about the fuel economy of the car i discovered people were generally not happy with the offerings. These are my calculation for my car's fuel economy after driving the car for 1000+ kms

I got my first ful tank with 42ltrs , at odo reading of 10kms .
Next i got the reserve light at odo of 640 kms .
Assuming a 6 ltr reserve in the tank i got an avg of 17.5 KM/L .

Next i got my full tank of 36 ltrs , which is now exactly at half tank at an odo reading of 1080 . Now if i clock around 700 - 800 kms with this full tank , i am expecting a sublime avg of 19 - 20 km/l , which is [clap] awesome .

Excited to see what i get from this tank , will post the final equation soon [:D]

You have got a grand i10 with highest mileage [:D], What are the other factors like speed, highway drive and AC. I am not a sedate driver but still I am getting a mileage of 12 to 13 km/li [cry]. Any one with a mileage like Jaskgrandi10?????

I got my Sport variant for 6.3 L in Mumbai I bought it in Feb2015
so much is the price difference due to RTO tax.
Also had to shell out 4k for Anti Rust + (yet to buy seat & body cover)
I too get around 13KM / lit avg like other owners!

Congrats on your new car! [clap]

I drove my car straight out of the showroom first on the noida - greater noida express way , 28kms , at an speed of 70-80kms/hr .

next day i drove my car 280 kms at same speed from greater noida to rajpura .

on both days i shifted my gears below 2k rpm and also my ac was constantly on at 1 and temperature around mid of the blue mark .

apart from this i dont drive my car above 60km / hr in city . (ac is at same settings)

I hope this helps clear your doubts Sir :)

That's some insane mileage! Too hard to believe. What I get always is 13 in city and 17 in highway. Better it might be calculation error. If not, I am gonna sue Hyundai!
Sir ,
Can i know how do you calculate the avg of your car .

Here is my method .

Like i got the full tank of 42 ltrs(auto-cut) .
next as soon as the reserve light flashes , i again get a full tank = 36ltrs (auto-cut)
so now , reserve tank = 6trs .

car driven = 630 kms

so eqN = 630/36 = 17.5 ..

and sir i would also like to bring in your notice that my dad always asks me to drive the new car uptil 5000kms , at 70-80 @highway and 50 -60 @city :) He owns a verna 1.6 sx vtvt (2011) which gives us a avg of 15km/l @city and 18-19 km/l @highway .

1.6 VTVT giving 15 in city is something even my Xcent with 1.2 can't achieve! No one can drive this cautious...

well my dad does drive this cautious :)

and here is my final eqn of the 2nd full tank ,
my car ended up using 36 ltrs of petrol for 660.9 kms , which means an avg of 18.3 km/l.[clap]

Attaching a pic :) for reference :)

Whoa. That's amazing mileage for a petrol Grand i10.[clap]
I am really happy to know this, i will be on the run to attain this figure in my Grand i10 petrol.
Hyundai should definitely use your mileage figures as testimonials. [;)]
