Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

Hi Nickandre,

We purchased verna recently around 2 and half months back, its run about 3000km. I gave for the service a month after purchasing the vehicle since it was 1500km crossed. They didn't change the engine oil that time. Now since its run about 3000 kms is it required to change the oil..? If so pls do suggest one.

Thanks in Advance.
Congrats on your ride !!!
For the first service nothing will be changed just a general checkup and troubleshooting if any reported by you. You can refer to the manual for service checklist with all details . 10k kms is when the service routine starts. I am done with 2 free service only one remain at 20k kms. Under warranty its better to be a good boy and stick to the oils used in service to be at safer side. Once done with all warrenty you can play around with your wish list ... Drive safr

Thats correct.
New cars does not get engine oil change as they are provided with synthetic oil from factory which is supposed to last for 10-15k KM's.
Even skoda and VW has their 1st oil change at 15k service only.

hyundai does not use synthetic oil on their cars here in India heck they use the old school 15w40 instead of a 'x'W30 oil for their petrol engines.

Anyways taking the car on its first more then 1000 km trip, did my own check and everything seems good to go except for the brake pads they look like there's about 7-10mm life left. Have a lot of ghats to pass through today. leaving in a bit will post pics of my trip if i can click en route. The oil change limit of 10k should be hit in the middle of this trip but im thinking of holding out since the oil is just light brown, its done 7 months with 8800 km to it.

Guys - There is a "tak tak" noise from inside the dashboard (behind the steering area) since a week or so. By the sound, it is like a loose wire touching some plastic. Now, before i go to the Service Center with this, i need to know:
Will they fix this free of cost? (Car is only 11 months and 9100 kms old).
Opening and closing of dashboard is complicated, so i am worried, if they fix this, they might screw up something else?
Which Service Center in Gurgaon can anyone suggest is good? The 2nd free service is anyways due in a months time.

There is also a rattling noise from the driver side door.

I think that is the famous steering rattle of Hyundai cars. My i10 started producing it after 40k kms.

Nick also reported this issue but it cropped again. No harm in getting it checked.

I too have rattle noise on the driver side door.

My car is done 1700 KMs and I started to hear a strange rattle noise from driver side door. Sounds as if a loose screw on a plastic board. The sounds comes when I drive the car at higher gear on low speed. Not able to determine what exactly is happening.

I had same issue before 12000kms. I made complaint and left for service. Many show room rep checked and told no noise. I explained to drive in lower gear on rough surface, then only they noticed. Then they removed dash board and found rubber bush brocken (cost Rs.15). Replaced with new one. It will take more hours to do the work. I delivered my verna after 2 days. So explain them and you forced them to notice such a noise. Now no noise till today after 1 year. Small thing but big matter.[lol]

for the steering rattle they will first regrease the mdps (electric motor for the steering) if that does not fix it then they move higher to changing a yoke or something and finally the entire steering rack. After 2 years of complaining they accepted the noise and did the greasing, noise just came back. Will get it fixed when i go for the oil change in a week already at 35k km.
