Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

i think it was due to overfilling the oil in the gear box at my 30k service, 5,000 km post that service i had gone for my steering noise where on the ramp one guy noticed something but said its ac water and did nothing. The showroom guys said it happens when you go hard into a pothole but neither me nor dad remember crashing into a pothole so hard.

Well i also asked the showroom guys of the projector upgrade. They told me its useless waste of money only halogen bulbs in it and it will not work on the older vernas since the auto circuitry comes form the ecu. 40k he says each:eek: on the other hand he told me to put cutouts n go for 90/100 bulbs but there's a risk of damaging the headlights due to the heat produced by those bulbs. I need better bulbs these xtreme visions perform terrible on national highways at night

plug and play hid (6000k) projector kits are available costing around 26k a pair with 6months or 1 yr warranty.
Only problem from this is that the original set of lights will have to be disposed.

yes it does thats what i observed when my battery went dead
Thanks Nick, as usual. This is why I asked you as I remember you replaced your battery and I guess you could face the same. Yes I charged the battery for few hours from a battery store and then it works all fine.

I tried Jump start from our old small car and its battery is new but that didn’t work. The verna’s battery is higher amp.

Any way I was only worry about that noise.

Guys
a nice elaborative review. For lights you can upgrade your bulbs to 90/100w Philips with Philips heavy duty relay. Iam using them from last 20 days and there is no problem at all.
Illumination has become very good and one can drive comfortably in night.
cost is around 1500/- for both bulb and relay.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

guys , recently I have noticed higher rolling vibration/sound from front wheels. Tyres have done 24k kms till now, wheel alignment and balancing done for every 4k kms and recent service at 23k kms 3rd service also completed with no problem highlighted by the ASS.
On a long stretch I pick up a speed of 70-80kph and then shift to neutral and that is when I notice this sound, in this state the engine is in idling so vibration/sound related to engine is very less.
Any body has noticed this earlier? what could be the cause? any quick fix / remidies?

Why do you shift to neutral at speed's of 70-80 [surprise] I think it should be the engine's sound but strongly suggest you not to put the car in neutral while the car is moving.

Putting in neutral in any speed should be a problem and shouldn’t cause any vibration. Without checking no one could say the reason of the issue. But I assume this could be gear box related issue or issue with the wheel internal mechanism, as when in neutral the wheel separates from the engine or the gears are not engages.

Do one thing, put the both front wheel in jack and rotate them by hand when its in neutral, and see if any sound occurs.

If its wheel alignment issue or there is a thing in both front wheel (its name is something like wheel bushes or something like that, I don’t recall its name right this moment) related issue then it should cause vibrate even in gears at that/any certain speed, not only in neutral.

My suggestion is to show this to the ASC to fix this issue.

Is your car petrol or diesel?

Issue can be due to the following

1.) Unusual wear of tyres
2.) Balancing issue
3.) Worn out front bearings
4.) OEM pathetic tyre quality.

SO get it checked and resolve at the earliest...

Well putting in neutral wont save you fuel as the engine will require fuel to idle however if its on gears and you let go of throttle fuel supply is stopped. Read up on coasting.
Anyways for your issue i had the same noise you say wheel bearings were fine. But noise kept increasing during a service my axel oil seal was found leaking after changing it noise is no more.
