Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

Hi All, I’ve one question:

Tomorrow I will give my car a good wash as after the long drive it gets dirty. I also noticed lots of dirts inside the both side view mirror, the area where the mirror glass moves around and behind also (attached image red marked areas). As its driven by a motor so I’m worried if water goes inside the mirror compartment the motor could damage. Is it ok to apply pressure water (mid pressure from Home water tank) in front of the mirror sides areas to get the dirt/dust out? Please advice if anyone having knowledge regarding this.

Hello guys I am new addition to this family.
I would like to request other members to share what products [ polish/wax ] they use to keep the car shinning? Or does everyone send their car to dedicated detailer?:lol!:
When does seat belt warning sound start? After the initial 6 beeps? In my car I tried without seat belt till 35km/h and nothing. But previously when I removed the seat belt at 20Km/h [ Only out of socket] while driving it started giving the sound.

If it’s a brand new car then except scratch removal or swirl marks removal don’t need to use any polish for long (over 6month or maybe more) if you take care the car. The stock finishing itself gives best shine. Just never wipe dusty area with dry cloth and with pressure, that creates swirl marks which damages the shine. Always wet the surface and then wipe, you can use a water sprayer like the sonax cleaner sprays. Best option is to use Jopasu car duster, it cost around Rs 500 and it does a great job to remove dusts. Remove dust and then wipe with wet cloth.

You can use liquid fast wax (spray, not polish) it will clean the surface and gives shine and also it will create a silky layer which wont let the dust seat in and easy wipe dust later.

Seatbelt buzzer varies from cars, in US the same Verna beeps constant in all condition after the key on but here it only beeps few and then stops. Same for the console indicator. So its usual.

Thank you guys for the replies.
I never drive without seat belts it has become a habit, I just wanted to test it so did it near my house.
Yes it beeps in i20 but not in verna hence asked about it. [I thought as almost all features are similar worldwide we would also get that continuos beep.] Is there a way to maybe unable this?
Well the car is new but I have not opted for that teflon coating, planning to take care of car myself.
Will get jopasu duster ASAP.

Use vacuum cleaner set to blow mode and try to remove the dust particles . I don't want to take risk by using water sprays , I think just dry blowing will do the trick .

People in US looks for a false clam like the seat belt end chrome metal hook to put that into the seat belt lock to stop that noise, those love to drive in village area without seatbelt and you’re saying to get this? I too always use seatbelt, its gives a different feeling just that.

As per me teflon coating is a fake thing, any good waxing compound works similar. Even they said Teflon but I doubt anyone uses actual Teflon or even they ever see it.

For best protection if you have time, get a best quality wax polish (do some research which one is best which is available in india, as I don’t know). Best like 3M, Turtle wax etc. Apply it firmly, don’t rub just apply all over the surface and when it dries buff it off. It will create a thin wax layer which will remain for long.

Yes I was thinking about that. I use a good vacuumed cleaner to blow the engine compartment and its full mode is very powerful, I think that will work. Will check how its work.

Today gave my car a good wash. About this: while washing I couldn’t stop letting the water in as it was pressure water but immediately I used vacuumed cleaner blower to takeout the water.

One question: in the updated verna does the fuel cap missed the strap which attached with the body and the cap. With this you will never lost the fuel cap.

8200 per tire, the tire is silent well not so silent but compared to my previous ones yes and feels smoother also. Only i miss the awesome cornering abilities of the previous a-drive this one is not much of a high speed oriented tire, but feels great to cruise in them.
