Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

I doubt the smart key system would take up enough of charge to drain the battery in 2 years time. I bet any car manufacturer would've taken that into consideration. Another guy out here Gears1313 has a sx his battery conked of before 2 years were up and he does not have the smart key system.[lol]
I second Nick on the smart key system ... Just to clear the air on misinterpretation, passive keyless entry the so called smart key is not powered always . When the user presses the button on the door handle the 3D antenna around the door handle activates LF frequency which powers up the key. Then that energised key transmits the secure encrypted key and authenticates itself.
So when the car is parked the battery drain is altogether a different issue definetly not the smart key.
I know this functioning because i have worked on this solution

Vishak .. I got my MC replaced yesterday, but the hardness is still noticed so they are planning to change the pressure plate under warranty this weekend ... Let see if the hardness is the MC failure or problem with the pressure plate.
@Sudee, is yours a CRDI or VTVT..?

Hi,

Do you know that Hyundai is not a reliable automobile brand? They are just misleading their customers. They overstate the mileage of their cars. In fact they have been penalised in America for doing that. I can never trust Hyundai Motors ever again. In India ARAI tests vehicles and they give the approximate fuel efficiency . IMO, The brand isn't to be complained totally for a mislead advertising and fuel efficiency is a factor that varies through an individual's driving style.

Though i have had my share of a lot of issue with the car.
Let me state that.
The engine is refined both petrol and diesel.
The feature they added in the car are reliable i haven't had nor saw a guy with issues as of yet.
Suspensions are okayish.
Fe is not that good in city but on highways its pretty good for me atleast.

Adding pictures....

Yes Sudee. I have seen both new colors, Wine red and twilight blue (same available for i20 also). The SA told me that they will discontinue purple fantasia and carbon grey. Not sure if both these colors are still available.

I’ve seen the Wine red on road once, its almost looks same like the purple, just a dark red. The car didn’t looks good IMO. twilight blue? I didn’t heard about that. Yes that’s correct the purple is discontinued but didn’t know about the carbon grey.
However the news was in updated 2013 model the Purple is discontinued but I’ve seen one during my buy at the showroom and it was a 2013 updated model also I saw a carbon grey 2013 model at showroom.

In US market there have a Sky blue color for Verna, that is just speechless. Take a look here.

But steering rattle problem not yet solved.

@Sam The sky blue Verna is cool [:)] . IMO The twilight blue may resemble like the I-20 blue which was released initially( remember the advertisement ubercool i20) but with a gloss touch to it .
@Sudee whoa ! That's a steep price then. Buddy, what if the previous gen owners wish to upgrade will they swap their old headlamps for the projector at Some price discount or will they install projectors and drl on the same old headlamp assembly [confused] .
