Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

Well Soumen, If drunk never get behind the wheel have some one else drive the car, stay safe and keep others safe. Do not promote drinking and driving on the forums.

Rajyadav: Let the dent be if unfortunately there's another scratch then go ahead for fixing it. You will need to paint the whole bumper to get rid of the patch. Plus its towards the bottom portion which has a tendency to being scratched often. If you do not want to spend much an outside painting guy should charge 2000-3000, no guarantee on the gloss.

Hi Nick, I didn’t said I drive when I’m dunked, I said when I park. Yes I never actually drive when I’m dunked, always a friend of mine or driver drives. I too protest one shouldn’t drive when drunked. What happens we park the small car in our house basement garage and the way to garage is so tricky even a expert driver cannot managed to do it in one go. So even if my friend is driving, I’ve to park it by myself at any condition. And I don’t think I’ve promoted drinking and driving anywhere, it was a part of statement what a cheap cost car bumper can suffer than a costly one.

Hi Nick and all other members,
I want to upgrade from stock (OEM) headlamps bulbs to philips 90/100 W as the company provided bulbs have very poor visibility specialy on highways, it became even worse when i come to drive verna after Linea.
Linea is having good visibility on highways.
shop keeper is saying that it is must to add cutout for supporting power needed by 90/100 bulbs. he says that without cutout new bulbs will not have the desired effect. is it compulsory ?
last one - will there be any warranty issues even if there is no any cutting of existing wiring from company ?
he is quoting Rs. 1049 for philips cutout and Rs. 400 for pair of bulbs, is this right cost ?

company will void the warranty if any issues occurs by using a higher wattage bulb.
I think the price seems right but you could go for a phillips bulb 90/100 should give good visibility but the increase in heat may cause damage for the headlights later on.

Any VTVT SX owner? From the day one my car don’t start without pressing the clutch, even if its in neutral its require to press the clutch to start the car. Otherwise no response if I turn the key to start. Is that normal? Please advice. thanks

Its Fine
The car comes equipped with Clutch lock so you need to press down your clutch pedal to let the engine crank even if your car is in neutral

Dadasaheb, if you are planning for 90/100 bulb then you will have to go for a separate cutout only, as the company harness is rated for 55/60 and higher current will burn the harness. As Nick mentioned if your car is still under warranty then it will void the warranty.
I can suggest you to go for Philips Xtreme Vision +100% this is of the same 55/60 rating but gives better light output. I have personally tried it and am very much satisfied. It should cost you 550/- per bulb.

Thanks Sudee, Nick
so you mean to say that Philips Xtreme Vision have same Wattage as company provided bulbs, and if i use these then there will not be any warranty issues, as there is just change in bulbs with same wattage.
