Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

We had two bumpers changed in the span of 10 days. My dad asked the guy in charge of warranties to report to hyundai about its quality. At that time the new vernas were around 6 months in the market and my service center had 90 cars with broken bumper incidents. He wrote his report as well as supplied the number of cars with bumper replacements and pictures.
Hyundai replied back that modifications cannot be performed to the bumpers.
A similar issues is with the clutch system in the petrol vernas i noticed the issue and pointed out we checked whatever petrol vernas were the from cars that just came from factory to cars that had come for service they all had the popping noise which is abnormal but till date 1 year gone since the submission of the report hyundai has not reverted back. The only thing hyundai accepts is steering rattle, the suspension, the battery terminal change and clutch master cylinder. Else where hyundai has constantly provided ecu firmware updates, and a dozen of other service bulletins.

Yes few issues cannot be rectified or upgrade by Hyundai as it’s a international market car and they will not re-design/create/upgrade bumpers only for Indian market, same for suspensions. That would be cost effective for them. As far as I think.

I don’t know about clutch and other technical issues. As far as I know if there have really any technical issue all manufactures recall their cars and fix them all. I have seen this with many many Chevrolet car. It could be Hyundai actually didn’t get any issues and these issues varies from car to car.

This is why I took a 2 years back model instead of a brand new launch. I was expecting in-between these two years if there have any technical manufacturing issues, it will be rectified by the manufacturer by this time.

Any way we have to accept these concerns of this car as we’re amazed by its looks. But the built material is really weak. Even few places of bonnet popped in by firm palm push.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

Guys - Did a Gurgaon - Jaipur trip this Diwali weekend. 4 adults including myself. The boot space is very accomodating. Even my kids scooter got space in it :)
FE: 14-15 kmpl, the display showed a constant 15.3 to 15.7 throughout. Speed was <100 km/hr for 90% of the drive.
Suspension is not that good, as we all know.
Car is not at all stable on rough roads at speeds pf 80-90, you have to slow down to maintain control.
Rest, it's very comfortable for passengers.
Also, the 2nd free service - Is it 10,000 kms/6 months or 1 year?

I would advice you its better to apply white color sticker (no reflective) may be 3M or anyone rather than painting the stock wheel. If after done it don’t looks good then you can remove the sticker but you cannot remove the paint. If the sticker applied properly it will look same as paint.

In my opinion in black color car white alloy will never looks good. Silver (stock color) or chrome will look good. Check the new Verna Alloy, it’s a chrome type mix and it fits in all color.

you can go in for a quick silver paint it looks amazing and goes well with all colors just like the silver alloys. Go in for a non glossy/shine finish it looks much premium then those shinny alloys.
If it were me i would not go for white alloys, but if you like it go in for it.

I have got both the flip keys replaced under warranty, one was broken and another was on verge to break, culprit was the connecting part between key and remote.
but for this i have to follow up with customer relations with a email trail of 7-8 emails one per week.

Hi Guys,
Wife bumped into a stone while parking in a slot. Just a touch and see the impact, picture attached. Also notice the gap introduced between the fog lamp and the bumper.
Please suggest rectification methods....

Wow, its badly damaged. Cant imagine such a small impact can do this. I scared to see that if it happen ever with my car. We need to be more careful about such incidents.

I too got a small hit few time back and yesterday I see a little gap in fog lamp fitting and also a front bumper holder at the side have a crack. Don’t know this was due to the hit or due to over tighten nut.

If you want to fix it by yourself then without sanding and painting the whole area it will not fix also you should have knowledge how to use these. Otherwise those scratch will not fix. For the dent try to insert you hand from bellow and push the dent area outward, use your finger mussel. If you can get your hand in then there have two bolts under the bumper, if you open both you can easily get a gap to insert your hand. If it is too hard and no luck with hand then blow a hair dryer from outside or inside and push it. If blowing from outside then do not keep the dryer at high speed/temp, this can damage other paints.

But I will suggest you to get it fix from ASC, they will may charge you 3k to fix this. But the finishing will be

Yeah, the damage is more when compared with the impact. You can imagine the speed of the car while you are parking in a slot and thanks to the low seats as well. Ladies specially park very slowly.
The quality of the bumpers and the paint is very bad.
I had once hit a dog with my Fusion on a highway at speed of 80+ on the left side and there was only a minor cut in the bumper and fog lamp just went back a couple of inches.
Need to be extra extra careful with this delicate lady... :)

This car is perfect for freeway drives but the roads we got here locally the driving position is very awful. I’ve been driving our previous car Maruti 800 since last 10 year and after one month on Verna My father still says “why you’re not confident with this car?” Still I need someone at the left seat when I drive and also I have to put a Cushion at the driver seat even after raising to its top level. The driving is really not confident for me so far in traffic roads, in highway its perfect comfort drive. The outer view is way too low. From the drive seat I cant see the front edge so not confident at all when parking. Comparable to Verna when I test driven Vento it was a very confident drive.

From sometime back when I park our 800 I’m not so careful as it’s a old car and mostly when I’m drunk and it got many major hits in its front and rear bumper but till date not broken, no dents only scratches. So you can guess. You need to be very very careful with this car.

Guys what is the price of rear windshield. Has anyone from forum have replaced it.
Its not a thing which people changes often, unless any accident. So I doubt any one knows about it accurately. What I can tell you if you look into car market in your area any non branded or not genuine Hyundai accessories you can get it a way to less price. For genuine Hyundai accessories you have to check with ASC. Once our old car front wind shield broken due to an accident and we put a non branded one which cost around half what ASC quoted. And even after many years its fine like the stock one, no visibility and any other issues. Just it don’t have a brand name in it.
