Guys, should i buy verna or ecosport, super confused...
please compare both according to Value for Money, also which fits your criteria, take test drives of both.
I have compared ecosport and Linea in July/Aug 2013 and decided to take Linea top end diesel.
I got 1 lakh discount on Linea, same time there was 1 year waiting period for ecosport which leads to almost min 50K price increase.

i was at 180 for a few seconds above 160 it was wobbling alot but not moving its line i decided its best to lower speed so i maintained a decent speed the remaining journey
Nick, congratulations on completing 300+ pages of your thread !!

i was in New Mumbai during Jan 2013, I have reached 160 Kmph for just few seconds on the expressway between khopoli and panvel.
while returning back from Navi Mumabai, between Lonavala to pune have touched 180 for few seconds 200+ can be easily achievable but it is too risky.
at these speeds verna is not confidence inspiring to push further.
i have taken care that at both the instances there was no any vehicle in all 3 lanes.

Verna decorated during my brother's wedding.
completed, 27000 km in 1 year and 8 months, in last month replaced rear suspension springs and both the flip keys under warranty.
for keys needed some emails to customer relations.
metal material used for flip key is of very poor quality.

Man alive! the car looking nice with the wedding decoration. I would decorate my car this way on my wedding. But the photo was taken in 2012?

Its very hard to suggest you one its all depends on your requirement. For looks both are definitely good. Verna is a two year model which has few upgrades and less errors, where EcoSport is a new model. I don’t like to go for a very recent model launched car as many car recall by the company for errors, like we’ve seen in Sail, XUV500 production stop etc. So in that sense going for a past launched model is a good option.

About Verna you can follow this thread and you will get all details, its definitely a good car with lots of boot space, nice looking and all you need in a car, I recently got one and its engine is butter smooth, very pleasure experience so far.

About EcoSport, it’s a biggest hit in world market in 2013. Before it launched when I see its picture I kept waiting for its launch and didn’t book the car. The base model really cost less, just like a hatchback. I don’t know about Fords reliability but personally I don’t like its interior built quality which I checked in Fiesta. Also in US people says Fords body is not that good, I just heard that. This car looks awesome and a new age SUV look, I really like it. It claims as a sub SUV but when I see it, its like a little bigger than Wagon R. It will give you a feel of SUV in a big hatchback, but its not a SUV in terms of space inside.

So I will suggest you to take test drive both car and then compare and choose one according to your requirement.

Guys - The FE is improving slowly. Got 11.7 kmpl. Car is now 7000 kms old. The MID showed 10.5/7 but overall FE had been 11.7. Going by 35 litres filling everytime. 2 fills in October till now.

Any solution for Verna Door guard?

Hi friends, Any solution for Verna Door protector? Any one install any custom or from other model? I’m not talking about the small door guard at the door edge. Like other cars have a rubber/plastic strip protector throughout the door. It really a needful thing at parking lot. It Verna design its missing.

Diesel Owners please help
Off late I have been noticing oil in my air filter upon inspection my self the intake tube has lot of oil in it.
Is this common in diesel cars ??
Also the gear refuse to slot in at times when the car is stand still and I will have to pump the clutch 2 or 3 times to make it smooth
Don't know what's happening
Vishak better get the car checked asap oil in the air intake system is a very bad sign and lots of oil is something that needs to be looked at, on a diesel engine if there is a constant oil leak into air intake the engine will start reviving terribly high and even if you turn the ignition of it wiill still keep runing this is known as runaway diesel engine and the only way to stop is to block the air intake or let the engine destroy itself.

Soumen the fan is controlled by the temperature and the ecu. The maruti 800 and verna are fully different in engine managements. The fan will not start till the coolant goes beyond a specific temperature, when you turn the ignition of the fan will spin at a slower speed for a few seconds and then switch of if the ecu demands it.
