Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

Nick kindly help me out with my problem. My steering is so tight and I couldn't find any reason for it. I gave my car for the first service and told them about this sadly after a week the steering became hard [frustration]. Kindly throw some light on tyre pressure too .
Mine too feels on stiffer side. Earlier I drove Santro and its power steering was very light. After delivery my all wheel was 36PSI and later checked and reduced to 32 for all wheel, but steering feels same. However it was same weighty above 50kmph. So don’t know its actually correct or not.

When taking the delivery it was little raining and after bringing it at home I noticed foggy inside both headlight. Is that any issue or common?

Hyundai is famous for it's feather light steering. Better get it checked for some oil leakage, etc...

it gains weight once speed exceeds 30-40 kmph IMO.But at speed below that range it remains super light for me! which is delight in city traffice

I guess there is some modification done in steering of new Verna's.
At high speed also like 100kmph and above it remains on stiffer side. However I failed to notice it in test drive vehicles![drive]

I second you Sagar. My Verna's steering too gradually gains weight when I increase the speed. I drove my Verna on NICE road, Bangalore at a speed of 170 for 1-2 mins and found the steering super tight and car was pretty stable. I feel they have made necessary changes for the new updated Verna.

Pradeep/Kentkits/Sagar , that is how the design is[:)]. When the speed is <20kmph the steering control is fully hydraulic and as the speed increases the control is gradually disabled and the steering is directly controlling the wheels. This is a safety feature that has been built(not only in verna's but in all EPS cars)[clap]. Assume the steering in superlight/featherlight at high speed and suddenly tilt(slight tilt) is also sufficient to make the scene fatal [surprise]. Harder the steering @ high speed lesser the sidewise movements.

I believe this change in done in the new Verna (post July 2013), because in my case, steering is same at the speeds of 80-100 kmph as it is at 30-40 kmph...and it feels damn unstable on highways.[roll]

Not sure if it's psychological, I drove my car after a week for first servicing. I found the steering has become stiff and tight. Told same to ASS guys. They told its normal. Even after servicing also, I feel its has stiffened a bit. It used to be light at low speed. May be tire pressure need to be checked. I am worried. Not sure If I am thinking too much. I need to drive a new Verna to differentiate.

My First post, have been reading the posts for long after fluidic Verna buy in Jan'13 and looking for suspension upgrade in India.

Hi Guys - Just called up redrooster in Bangalore and they said they have Tein suspension available for Fluidic Verna now. Costs 90,000 INR+ 2500 Fixing charges + Taxes. Takes 4 hours to fix. Anyone here who has driven a Verna or similar cars with Tein suspension upgrade?

Hi Abinsam . Last even I got a mail from RedRooster's about availability of the suspension. What's constantly striking my mind is "spending 1lk for suspension is it worth?". I found some threads talking about other options from diff makes(imported brands) for lesser price.

Guys I saw Philips Extreme Vision headlamps 90/100W priced at Rs.370/- per lamp, and relay extension from Philips to handle 90/100W priced at Rs.900/-. What you think? Is it a good buy?

Off late I have been noticing oil in my air filter upon inspection my self the intake tube has lot of oil in it.
Is this common in diesel cars ??
Also the gear refuse to slot in at times when the car is stand still and I will have to pump the clutch 2 or 3 times to make it smooth
