It's working for me. Jan 2013 manufactured. I guess Hyundai has removed this feature and dealers are not aware. But this is really surprising. Does the spec sheet and the book mentions about this feature?

Yes Rajyadav!!! Its really irritating, a lot of things have changed in the car and nothing has been officialy said in the website too, its something like we will give what we want..just pay the cash and take the car.

My sales person also accepted that speed sensing auto door lock is there in model, i have raised an issue.

The 6 airbags to 2 and all have been said by the sales person, this feature about speed sensing auto door lock was clearly mentioned in this model. Am not gonna keep quiet until this issue gets fixed.

Other than that, the car is a gem :D

Personally, Hyundai's website about Verna is all a lie, if anyone wants to know what they offer in a present verna, one can only check with the dealer. They really need to keep an eye on the website too.

Yes hyundai user manual still mention'd about SSADL feature as optional, which means top variant must have it. The most irritating for me is when i see the official hyundai website for fluidic verna (India), description is loaded with features - front, curtain airbags, auto door lock what what not and there are even spell mistakes - [lol]

@Karma : i am not going to stay quiet either, we have to lodge complaints regarding this. I am still waiting for their replay.

Don’t go for Hyundai official website, they takes long time to update. When the 1st new verna launched with new alloy, there was no update and no image also. And it never updated. Websites updates are done by their IT guys and those information mistakes are done by them and this takes long time to rectify them until they receive lots of complains.

If this is the scene with the SSADL, and as here two owner have same issues then definitely this feature has been removed. Don’t make sense what Hyundai is doing, they are upgrading or downgrading?

I think so far its still good as we didn’t get a great surprise downgrade. I remember few time back I saw a new car in UK (may not be Hyundai, I didn’t get enough view to check which brand) it was running on its spare tire and any one will ROFL to see that, at least me. Its rim was a not an alloy of course but the tire was just like a motorbike tire, more than half in width then other tires on that car. So this seems like in future we are going to get these of course.

Hi all!

You wont beleive this, i put up a mail, i got a call from them. Then the senior customer care fellow called me and he was being called by another fellow from the PDI, their conversation is,

Sir, the option of Speed sensing auto door lock has been stopped in all vernas for the past 3 months, the senior executive to me before speaking to the PDI person was like, we beleive what we have told you is true, but we have to check with Hyundai.

I told them upfront, if you are not having this feature please take this verna and give me the SX model. Because genuinely all i get in this is leather and projector lights for which i paid 1 lakh extra which i am not interested at all.

He told me to wait for a day or 2 and said he will get back to me. I am very firm in my decision, its like the Hyundai people will give anything and we have to accept whatever they give, why did not they mention it in the brochure in the first case. Am pretty pissed because of this.

I love this car, but on the first day my mom accidentally opened the door when she kept her hand in the handle, thank god nothing happenend, imagine when kids are there in the front door or something. This is really serious. I think people are still not aware of what we should get for what we pay. I will keep posting the updates.

PS: None of the dealers people knew that this function has been taken off. Thats a serious turn down from Hyundai itself.

I feel this is real scenario for a consumer court case. Hyundai is giving wrong information on website as well as brochure. It really not worth to pay so much just for start stop and leather seats than SX. They should immediately update the website first and then launch the vehicle. Disappointing that they focus only on Grand i10 now a days. In bangalore, for Diesel model, SX(O) costs whooping 1.7 lakhs extra. Do you think that justifiable? No more 6 airbags and speed sensing locks.

Yes KenKits!

Beleive me, i feel like i am being ripped. For the past 3 years i had this Speed Sensing lock in my Swift. I made sure that feature was there and that was one of the main reasons i went for the SX(O). [frustration]

There is absolutely nothine more to pay in for SX(O) honestly,[confused] the projector light, am sure u can get a very good deal in after market. Leather upholstery, i am pretty sure we can get that from after market too and that too in a colour of our choice. The only thing would be the Start/Stop button, for just this alone, do i need to go for SX(O). I dont think so, I am definitely not leaving the dealer and Hyundai on this.

The car is really good on the whole, but just this way of Hyundai dealing with their cars is really annoying.! Downgrading almost everything in their top end and paying extra money for no safety features!. It just doesnt seem to work for me!

@ Dbarma! I did not hear a sssssss sound till now.

Yesterday i was going in around about 40 km/hr, there was a pothole, i had to take the baby right through the pothole, i felt as if i went on a bullockcart, with the sound that came from the car, as if something broke?

This doesnt happen, when i go at a lower speed.! Its really smooth.

Is this normal in all verna's? Is it the suspension that reacts this way?

Yes Karma, seems normal to me. My car behaves same way if i speed more than 30 kmph over potholes or bumps. Below that speed its butter smooth. Don't worry, most cars will behave in similar manner. My swift also creates thud sound if I go over potholes with higher speed.

Thanks Kentkits for the response!.

One of the main reasons of changing my swift was because of the suspension, day by day it was getting worse, i had it for about 2.5 years. Drove about 35k. [:D]. But honestly i loved driving it.!

Verna had issues with her suspension and it's been criticised through out. IMO any vehicle cruising in moderately high speed will create some noise specially our verna the suspensions are tuned softly for better ride quality in highway. Every vehicle have their plus and down sides, one more thing I want to share is that verna is a quiet car, cabin is very silent and sitting inside one can not guess how fast it's cruising. Iv migrated from small car like k10 where 40kmpl is actually fast enough but big cars like verna 40kmpl is nothing but the vehicle has to slow down in a pothole as uv mentioned. I got such noise few times even at 30kmpl. So now I slow down.

What bothers me much is the wobbling movement. My mom, sisters always complaints about it and most of time they get sickly nauseatic sensation. THIS IS AN ISSUE.

One more thing I want to share: iv installed sony xplode amp & subwoofer, when rich songs are played some body parts create krrr krrr noise specially the rear plastics, somewhere near rear passenger head rest.

@karma : are you happy with the yellow projector light? Today I ordered Philips HID HB3 9005 6000K conversion kit.
