Yes in this color the mat black looks good. I too prefer that, even on my full car, not partial, to protect it from scratches.

Yes I'm little bit busy on a project these days but soon I will back with some good stuffs may be.

Guys, i know many people did not like the matte colour on grey.![confused] But i was so keen and was doing a lot of designs and finally i did the roof matte black and also a design on the front![:D]. I did not do anything for the back.

Just wanted to share it with you all too.!
Good job. Please post pics with proper lighting.

Thanks nickandre for your brilliant support. I was thinking the same too but wanted to confirm if am right. Does your car do the same?

@karma0306 Your car colour does look good - dont be sad. I am not a fan of roof matting but I am planning to apply black mat at the front grill <=H=> with chrome border.
Same for me. I am planning on chrome garnishing on the windows and the front grill. Was quoted around 4-5k.
No matte for me though.
Might be booking a black verna in 2-3 days.[:D]

Thanks nayan! Mines a grey one.. the matte black jus merges in..theres no big difference but from a distance theres a shade which I like. I must say in silver it would really stand out. You should definitely try it on if your a fan of matte black.

I was given a qoute of 2800 for matte black from a local car shop. Personally I did not like the matte as it was shiny. IMO matte doesnt shine. So I went on to 3M enquired about their vinyl wrap. They had shiny black, matte black and carbon black ( one with stripes). Carbon black is goood. But it costs twice the amount of matte black. 3m charged me rs 190 per sq ft + VAT. For my front hood and the the roof they used about 25 sq ft. So I paid about 5.4k in total with tax. Carbon black costs around 8.5 to 9k. I did not wanna spend too much on it too because people here in chennai just put scratches from bumper to bumper with key chains which really irritates me. So I just took a go with a nominal fee if incase any thing like this happens and they start peeling the wrap. [frustration].

Hope this info helps. Carbon black rate was about rs 390 per sq ft.

Can one remove this 3m vinyl later on without damaging the original color underneath?
Yes myth! Its a definite yes..but from what I heard..if the matte black is kept on white colour for a long time..the glue is pretty hard to take...and even when the glue is taken..there seems to be a yellow colour in white...thats the main point..but in general its a removable one..I put my wrap thinking I would remove it after 6 months or so!
