Can others check their Brio and let me know?

If looks like the A pillar plastic is not aligned to dashboard correctly. This is passenger side.

Although there are no rattles I want to confirm if this is design flaw or poor fitting because I saw this in another Brio as well!

^This must not be a manufacturing defect, when the service centre or accessory installation guys opened the panel they didn't put it back correctly. You also can remove it and fix it back properly with minimum tools if not get it done by HASS. But make sure you are not scratching the dash panel with the screwdriver.

aerohit sir , my brio have same dash panel gap
Good to know, I have seen this in other Brio as well. I have not installed any accessory, so the A pillar cover was never removed.

I guess I will just leave and not mess with it as it is not causing any issues/noise.

This is a defect in almost all the brio's. When I had asked about this at the time of first service, the service person had told me that this is done to allow the opening up of the airbags without any obstruction in case of accident[roll]

Want some suggestions regarding this,

I have a 2013 Brio and I love it very much. It has done 13k till now. I don't have any concerns regarding it, but one thing that I hate is the ride quality, for me it's ok, but sometimes my father also uses the Brio and he complains regarding it.

Ride is not absorbent, it will throw you whether you are slower/faster. This is especially when going over sharp speed humps.

Car is running on Stock Goodyear Tyres, will Tyre change (Soft Compound) like Michelin Energy XM2 improve the ride.

I think its due to the poor low end torque in Brio. Also the 1st gear is too short in Brio that you can't drive even a small distance in 1st gear like in Maruti petrols. I have a 2012 Brio with stock MRF ZVTV and now I am used to this problem. My cousin's Amaze is also have the same problem. I feel the difference mainly when I drive my Swift in my hometown or some other friend's cars.

I usually drive in 2nd gear unless car demands 1st gear.

Regarding sharp speed humps - its more of infrastructure issue than suspension issue. I guess India is the only country in the world where is "Speed Hump Diversity"

Low end torque could be managed by the driving skills as I don't hesitate to put into 1st gear whenever car demands it. Also, I would like to know till what speed you would like to take the car in 1st gear, I normally take 1st gear till 25KMPH speed then only shift to 2nd.

[surprise][confused] You take 25 Km/hr in 1st gear !! Very interesting. I never went beyond 15 Km/hr in 1st gear. Would you tell me why you drive so long in 1st gear when it is not at all fuel efficient? But I am not Honda car owner.

It is also case by case basis if I am on incline and need some thrust then I am not afraid taking till 25kmph otherwise between 20-25 is my usual for upshift. And coming to fuel efficiency it has always been efficient where my normal Highway FE hovers between 18-19 & in City it hovers anything between 12-14(all with full AC).

My BRIO is 95% rattle free, which is a a good thing!

But there is one rattle that particularly bothers me . It comes from rear/hatch area.

Whenever I go over a small hump diagonally (NOT straight) I hear this sound. Basically, it happens when the body twists.

I removed the spare wheel, removed jack and everything else from the rear, but still there is this sound.

It sounds like metal component touching each other.

Anyone experience this?

Hi,

Want to know about paint quality of Brio. My car got a minor scratch two weeks back and whole paint is gone from that area. Today got a big scratch caused by another car while reversing. Whole paint on the impact area is gone. Inner black body is visible. Looks like honda did poor job regarding paint quality. Want to know what can be done regarding scratches?

Very difficult to comment without seeing pics. But when you say "black body inside", i am guessing you scratched the bumper area, right? If so you can decide to get half/full bumper painted at HASS or at a local painter, depending on your choice. If the scratches are very small, you can ask thr HASS for manual touch up during your service. You can also try 'com paint' yourself if you are up for it. Just google it.

Also, Brio's paint quality is upto the mark if not the best in the class. But plastic parts are prone to paint loss with scratches. You can try 3Ms paint protection films to cover the vulnerable areas, but is is an expensive affair.

Cheers!
