AFAIK this happens with every car. Air caught up inside a confined space in hot sun gets heated up and it takes some time to cool when the exterior air and the vehicle body are also hot.

Along with cooling and blower in full swing, I hope you put your AC into 'External air in' mode (Optionally rolling down all the windows) when you take out your car parked in a hot and sunny area until its cooled down a bit and then put it back to 'Recirculation mode'.
Hi Lamessonwheels

Thanks!
But I always keep AC knob at "recirculation mode" to avoid dust getting into blower. Will putting knob into "fresh air mode" for few minutes and switch back to "recirculation mode" is what is your suggestion.

Recently, saw an advise in one of the Auto shows on TV.

Open the Passenger side window, and open & close the driver side door for a few times, which would help in air circulation. They mentioned its effective in cooling the vehicle sooner when kept under sun.

Havent tried myself, but yes, feel it would be effective to quite some extent.

Yes. Put the knob into "Fresh air" mode for few minutes and then switch back to "Re-circulation" mode.

The re-circulation setting works best when a vehicle is already at the desired temperature. This allows the air-conditioner to work less (use less energy) to maintain that temperature. In the fresh air mode since fresh air is being sucked every time (needless to say along with all the smoke and dust on the road), your AC needs to work harder than usual to cool it. As you said the normal mode should preferably be "Re-circulation" only, what I suggested is just till the car cools down keep it in "Fresh air" mode.

Did second service at 4k. Found mileage dropped, now I am getting 2km less per litre.
I even took my car for 800km highway trip to confirm this and MID shows 16kmpl for entire journey.
The same trip earlier gave around 19kmpl with 30% AC on. This time no AC.

HSS says they maped ECU and found nothing. Any particular reason my average speed was not more than 80kph.

Bit early, you can always get it replaced/tested from outside. 2 min job. You will also get refund for depositing old battery, which dealer won't give you.

True was thinking on same line but Honda dealer is providing 4 years warranty that is making me to go with them.

Also an information I have been using same dealer for my car servicing till date. so, no problem in sticking with them.

Hello guys,
Greetings and good wishes
I just joined Automotive India a couple of days back. I own a 2013 edition Honda Brio (SMT, R. Red) which I bought in August'13 and so I have had the red beauty for three years now and have covered 30k kilometers.
Though it might have the appearance of a cute little city hatchback. In reality it's a tough little endurance monster when you unleash it and let it have a run...anytime anywhere. I have driven my baby everywhere...from the sleekest of highways to the dirtroads of the mountains and she has never let me down...always eager to do more. Although her ground clearance is not very respectable but if you love her and know how to coax her the right way she will always be your reliable companion no matter where you take her. Of course I do not mean by the term 'taking her anywhere' as to treat her like a SUV or an off-roader. But I'm sure the real connoisseur's of this beautiful car will know what I mean. Not even once during my travels with her did she give up on me. No engine failure, no AC conking off, no electrical failures...I could go on. The only problems I faced with her are the ones I created myself like a few dents and bumps. I'm attaching a few pics as proof to the capabilities of my little red riding beast.

Dear Jagadish,
Maybe you might say it is my individual experience solely. But my Honda Brio(2013) has been driven by me for 30k kilometers in the past three years. I do the regular recommended servicings and changes and along with I also do maintenance and services as and when required. That is like I always go for a full service including oil checks, wheel alignment checks, suspension checks, underbody condition checks etc. after every long haul trip (above 500kms in a single run). My car returns an average of 11-12 kms per litre. Of course in heavy traffic conditions with the AC constantly on the mileage has gone down to as low as 7.5- 8 kms per litre at times. But on the highway on a recent trip (June 2016) I clocked a mileage of 19-20 kms per litre with the AC on 100% of the time. The highest mileage I achieved with my baby on the highway was 22 kms per litre with the AC on full blast in May 2015. So I do not have any complaints regarding the mileage of my little beastie...
Like they say love, feed and take care of your little beastie and then see how she runs...

Every time while you tank full, it is better to reset the trip meter to have accurate results.

Awaiting your updated figures in the coming days.

Happy [drive]
Hello bReeze AkA blro

Been recently to ooty.
Needles to say my brio went lifeless while climbing 36 harpin bend.

Its really fasturate me every time i tried to cover a bend. I kept shifting 1st gear to build up rev and upshift to 2nd.

There was three healthy build and two average build on board with basic stuff in hatch.

At one point i was blaming myself for buying petrol instead deisel. And yes their is huge transmission loss in Brio from engine to wheel compared to swift and bolt.

The power that passes to wheel from engine is less compared on paper figuers.

The total trip was 644km and fuel consumed is 45ltr and avg mileage was 14.3 without AC (0% on).

This trip put me in serious thinking of mods.
I am now thinking go for Race Dynamic Powertronic P2 programing to get bump in torque Nd power
