Very difficult to comment without seeing pics. But when you say "black body inside", i am guessing you scratched the bumper area, right? If so you can decide to get half/full bumper painted at HASS or at a local painter, depending on your choice. If the scratches are very small, you can ask thr HASS for manual touch up during your service. You can also try 'com paint' yourself if you are up for it. Just google it.

Also, Brio's paint quality is upto the mark if not the best in the class. But plastic parts are prone to paint loss with scratches. You can try 3Ms paint protection films to cover the vulnerable areas, but is is an expensive affair.

Cheers!

Its not bumper area but near to headlights. Will post pics soon. Scratch happened when my car brushed past another car while reversing. I cannot believe that paint can come off due to such small impact.

This is normal when the plastics parts get scratched.

"A running car is prone to scratches here and there. Just ensure the safety of everyone around you."

Meanwhile, to decrease the damage to quite an extent, use rubbing compound in the area, followed by some waxing. Trust me, its not worth wasting the Vitamin-M for keeping the bumper paints intact.

If you ask me, unless the damage doesnt lead to performance / quality issues (rusting/broken parts), just try maintaining your ride with DIY stuffs. This will help you keep the Insurance NCB intact and your hard earned Vitamin-M saved for some better investments / holidays. [clap]

Take care& [drive] safe!

Want to know about paint quality of Brio. My car got a minor scratch two weeks back and whole paint is gone from that area. Today got a big scratch caused by another car while reversing. Whole paint on the impact area is gone. Inner black body is visible. Looks like honda did poor job regarding paint quality. Want to know what can be done regarding scratches?
I think paint Quality of Brio is excellent, atleast it was in the earlier lots. Saw a pic posted by another member in a thread with his brand new elite i20 and old brio side by side and i20 had more swirls and it was less shiny. Vehicle getting scratches while colliding can happen to Rolls Royce as well. Nothing uncommon in it! [:D]

Approx. cost of painting the bumper at a good bodywork shop would be around 2000-2500. I think the cost roughly around the same ball park figure at a typical ASS (not sure about Honda though).

I would suggest to pay from your pocket rather than claim insurance.

Today I noticed that driver seat doesnot slide back as much as passenger seat does. There is about 2 inch difference between two when slided back to the end.

Anyone else face this issue in thier brio?

I am quite not happy with the high beam of my stock brio. I don't want to do any cutting etc to upgrade. The vehicle is purely used for city driving. What options do I have to replace the high beam of the Brio? I am looking for plug and play replacement. Is OSRAM NB+ any good? Has anybody carried out head lights upgrade on Brio?

Greetings to all Senior motorists there!
I own Brio SMT ( current S type dosent come with option pack ) 2015 model Aug model. I have been reading all ownership reviews at TAI and following problem and solution thread too.

After reading many threads and pages here it is what I feel and need suggestion and help.

Had completed 4200kms odo and second service too (10k kms or 6 months whichever is earlier) the total bill came out 2475.00 including waxing of 750+taxes.

1) Built quality:
Yes the body shell made with so thin sheet metal that an mild push from hard palm may dent the body. I strongly doubt crumple zone mention in book for BRIO is serious concern big no no for non ABS variant for those new buyers. I believe they compromised body shell quality for mileage.

2) Ineffective AC:
I live in Bangalore and with temp of 35c deg the Brio AC fail to cool effectively, need to park on shades and turn blower all the way 4 for while. Otherwise rear occupant will have to roll down the window glass. Is this case with others too or its just common in sunny/hot days.

3) Struggles to pull 2nd gear or not enough bottom end torque:
Every one in Brio complaint or most of ownership reports experienced this. But to my worse my peppy pot struggles even inclined slops in 2nd gear. I infact slip the clutch bit with slight throttle get rid this issue but it's not the case with full board need shift first and revv it hard, be in power band shift it. A Grand i10 has better low end driveability. This only in case of 2nd gear but third easly putter around city without any fuss just like automatic. Has anyone here come out this problem or found any solution to this. On flat road the Brio moves ahead without any throttle input. But 2nd gear is disaster atleast in my case.

Also I am goffed up by my SA who cheated me pushing 5 month old car. I made him clear during booking that he should share VIN number before car sent to registration but he sent car to RTO without my consent and handed over the key.
However my wife and mom dosent want me to get in arugement ( because full money was paid before RTO, as he indeed told me that car is on the from Noida factory which I believed new one ) I accepted without any additional offer on offer this mess.

However above all I am happy with package on offer with little peppy pot.
High speed stability is just awesome, one who keep it in power band can embarrass high capacity or segment above cars. Mileage too is good but drops drastically in bumper to bumper traffic. Maximum attained with AC on is 20.9/kmpl and lowest was 14/kmpl.

Sorry for making write up on issues. There is enough said good things on Brio no doubt about it but just thought to share issues which I faced.

Regards,
Jagadish

They remove complete panel and paint it fully, no half bumper/panel paint they offer at HASS and HASS will cost out INR 3000.00 including taxes. The paint quality and job will be perfect. I am not sure about perfectness of local painter.

I too had similar scratch followed by dent and yes mein is UT in color.

Hi,

The problem with scratching a plastic part is that you cant just patch it & hope to get a good finish. Whe plastics scratch, the surface gives a bit & loses the primer layer. To get a good patch, you must fill the indentation back with filler, sand smooth, apply primer & then paint. Since its impossible to do this one one single spot, you end up sanding a big patch and the endes of this patch will cause a colour mismatch. Also, this will guve the surface ab uneven finish. Thats why the HASS will take off the part & paint it entirely

Like someone said, dont bother with this. Fibreglass parts dont rust with scratches like metal does. Just run over with some polishing compound & wax. You will still see the scratch but the edges will be a lot less rough

AFAIK this happens with every car. Air caught up inside a confined space in hot sun gets heated up and it takes some time to cool when the exterior air and the vehicle body are also hot.

Along with cooling and blower in full swing, I hope you put your AC into 'External air in' mode (Optionally rolling down all the windows) when you take out your car parked in a hot and sunny area until its cooled down a bit and then put it back to 'Recirculation mode'.
