Folks, Brio's headlights are quite poor. I am planning to do an upgrade. Is OSRAM Unlimited any good? What upgrades have people carried out?

Honda Brio Suspension Upgrade?

I'm sure that all Honda Brio owners have felt that the car has an absolutely terrible suspension. I was wondering if there is any way to fix this. I have been searching for threads on many forums including this for answers, but no luck. Does anyone know a way to do this or has anyone does this? Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'm new here!

Weird smell from Honda Brio when I start the car/idle it/move the car a bit

So I usually move my car when I clean it. Since a few months, the running of my car has significantly reduced. However, I do clean the car every Sunday or so and I remove it from my driveway and park it back again. Lately, some weird smell has been coming from the car after I am done moving the car or after I idle the car for a few minutes. Not sure, but it seems it is unburnt fuel. I immediately checked the oil and it was full. Oil has also been replaced about 6-12 months ago and the filers have been replaced, too. This problem has surfaced recently and the smell is very putrid. What could this be?

Edit: No leakages.

Do you see White smoke coming out for 5-10 seconds when you crank the engine? For how long does this smell last? Does it remain in cabin even after an hour or so?

There are various reasons which the mechanic has to check:
Ignition coil or distributor may have failed which results in half burnt fuel or the spark plug needs to be cleaned or fuel injector may be leaking fuel in combustion chamber or the ECU may be faulty which may force more fuel if it doesn't sense enough fuel-air mixture. My take is that the spark plug needs to be cleaned or if run for over 40,000 km, needs replacement. For Brio Spark plug replacement period is 24 months or 40,000 Kms

Akash, I have not checked if there is any white smoke because I'm always in the car when I start it or move it. There is no smell in the cabin and it is only when I get out that I can notice the smell. It is kind of like the smell that very old cars emit. I bought my car in Sep 2012 and have serviced the car when it needs it without fail. This used to happen to my old Zen.

Will take it to the service center for sure. The car has run about 20,000km if I'm not wrong and is 36 months old. Do you recommend replacing or cleaning the sparkplugs?

It could be the Catalytic Converter.

Most user manuals suggest driving the Car at High Speed (80~100) once in a while for sometime to Heat the Catalytic Converter and Burn the pollutants. Plan a long trip somewhere. 4~5 Hours of excersize on the Highway should do good things to your car.

No white smoke. Just checked. Car was not smelling either. Weird. It could be running rich or something. Service is due in November so that's good!

First try cleaning the spark plug, if the problem persists, then you may need to replace the plug (assuming the fault doesn't lie in other parts which I indicated). You can request for early service since your service is due in November.

Oh. That isn't possible all the time as I don't have that much of time even on weekends. I can't drive the car that fast in the city as I live in Mumbai and we all know the quality of roads and the amount of traffic here. Will plan one in the near future!

IMO that is not needed. Regular driving is enough to keep the car in condition.

Oh. The usage should increase as my father will need the car when he comes back to India. Till then, I need to find some time to take the Brio out on a drive that it deserves!

Firstly my apologies for going off topic..

I have purchased a used Brio SMT 2013 April model ( blue) it has run 17000 with a second owner in Bangalore. Paid 3.65L ( is that a fair price?)

Wanted to get a thorough service done once I get it ( will get in two days). As I stay in Jayanagar; which HASS would you suggest??

I have read 28 pages of this thread till now; hoping to read the rest tonite..

Thanks for your time.. :)
