@manish09: not seen for many days. [:)] I thought my Brio ran less (9000) in 2 year 6 months. For last service of my car I paid 2191.00. it was just plain service, no oil change, no wheel alignment etc.
For plain service, is not Rs. 2191 at higher side? Can you give break up of the charges. Last month, I went for service (one & a half year), paid Rs. 3200 including oil change, filter change and some work for around 500 rupees. My car has also run less, only 4700 kms in 1.5 years.

I am also thinking of not doing oil change every 6 months. It can be once in a year, considering that my car runs only around 3,000 kms per year.

Hey Manish,
If you haven't purchased the mats, be rest assured to buy it. Some of the members from other forum have used similar kind of material and have done a DIY for the making customized floor mats for their cars. Please go ahead its totally worth it.

Holla Brio owners, I am looking out for a hatch these days. Did TD of Brio, Swift and Celerio (manual). I am inclined toward the Brio now, V MT preferred. I wanted to ask something in this regard. Sales guy said service interval is six months. Like most of us here, I am the kind of guy who religiously take my ride to the service centre on the manufacturer's mentioned date, but six-month interval seemed a bit of a downer to me. Did it bother anyone of you? Was it a factor while making your buying decision? Please do say what you felt about it so that I can feel what the popular mood is and make my own informed decision.

Hello Roadrunner,
The six months service interval is indeed on lesser side as far as time and Kms interval is concerned. My recently purchased Grand i10 has a service interval of 1 year or 10000kms which ever is earlier. I had Brio prior to Grand i10, but the 6 months service interval never bothered me as the service bill for the six months service was 2100 rupees.Brio has the peppiest engine amongst all hatchbacks IMHO. If at all the service interval is less by 6 months than competition, don't make that your buying decision. Enjoy the peppiness of Brio.
At the time of service, make sure your SA(Service Advisor) charges you only for the components mentioned the PMS chart in your owners manual. Normally service charges are beefed up because of the S.A. charges you for Value added service(e.g service plus) which hardly helps, and indirectly adds to your overall service expenditure.
Go for the Brio if you really like it.
Hope this info helps you.

My Brio is 2.5Years old and 6 Month Service Interval is indeed too frequent, but it doesn't bother me as Services cost are pocket friendly. If you are aware of the things which needs to be taken care in each service intervals then it won't be a problem[;)] as SA sometimes do pushes for non-essentials things but that is now a days became common everywhere irrespective of the Dealers.

Brio is a Hoot to drive and you would love single penny spent on it.[drive]

Guys ,
I own a Brio that has run just 2600 kms . i am hearing a strange vrooooo noise while decelerating from 80kmph to 60 kmph. I have never this sound during the initial 1000 kms . Its a loud roar sound while decelerating from 80/90 kmph to 60/50kmph , below that the engine is silent . It doesnt happen much while accelerating . Any suggestions ? Planning to visit the service centre tomorrow and figure it out .

silencer seems to be the culprit. small stones / pebbles etc can damage the silencer.

One of my rear tyres (tubeless) got punctured. There are two punctures as shown below in yellow markings:

and the other one
IMG_20150904_065744.jpg

The puncture in the sidewall is just 1-2 mm. The puncture shop advised to put a tube in the tyre and said that the puncture in the sidewall can not be repaired. Tyre has run just around 5800 kms and is of JK Vectra 175/65 make. My query is-
(i) Whether I should do as he suggests or
(ii) Buy a new tyre or
(iii) is there any method the sidewall puncture can be repaired. If yes, any suggestions in Delhi. (preferably near CP)

There's a puncture patch as well which can fix sidewall puncture. You can check with another shop for the same.

And you may put a tube as well. No worries. It's better to spend on the tube than to buy a new tyre. Keep the tube tyre as the spare. If the current spare is not in good condition then keep the tube tyre at the rear.

Guys, noticed a strange thing with my BRIO. Yesterday when i parked my car and then took the car out, i could see the ground below wet with some leakage. I went closer and had a look and it was just water ozzing out drop by drop from car underneath. I guess it was from AC, but why would AC water just ooze out like that ?

I guess it was from AC, but why would AC water just ooze out like that ?
Usually the AC captures the moisture content from the air and drains it out as water droplets. Why it is noticeable now but not anytime before?. There might be a change in climate and the environment has become more humid. No alarming situation here as AC is working the way it is supposed to work unless its oozing out 'too much' of water.
