They will definetly change the Oil as, it is listed on things to do during service.

Even I had covered only 5k [surprise] during my 2nd Service.
Yes, they do oil change at 2nd service. I had the same question as my car had done as low as 1000 kms then.

Infact i was told that even for the next service there will be an oil change irrespective of the no. of kms the car has done. If we do not adhere to the prescribed oil change schedule then in future there might be problems incase one happens to claim warranty.

That brings one imp question to my mind. When i purchased the car i had not opted for Extended warranty as it was bundled with RSA and both together costed 10K extra (and I was not interested in RSA). Now that I am thinking of opting for Ext. warranty only, I just wanted to know from those who have purchased Extended warranty that what all things are covered under this?

Yes they will do the oil change as after run in it is required to change the oil and it is better also. Mine was done even with 1100 km. But yes the service executive told may be in the next service you can avoid the oil change. Lets see[:)].

Meanwhile i have noticed one more feature in BRIO. If we somehow miss the indicator for Parking/headlight ON and remove the keys, the car gives continuous beep to remind you [clap]

One of my friend forgot to switch off the light in his i10 and the battery got drained completely[frustration].He had to get it recharge through the shop , He paid 170 bucks for that.

If any defect is confirmed by the during this warranty period as per the stipulated warranty terms and condition, except for points mentioned in “Limitation,” Dealer will replace any part found to be defective with a new part or an equivalent no cost to the for diagnosis that dose not lead to consequential damages or risk.

That happened to me also. But i didn't have to pay a buck. I asked my friend to push the car and I was on the driver seat. When the car is in motion, hit the gear and turn the ignition on and the car will start. Leave it idle for 10 mins and you are ready for the action again.
BTW I have never heard of this beep. I always walk back to the car from my house on noticing that I had left the headlamps on.[frustration] How did you get the beep?

Try this, you need not to insert the key also in the slot. Just unlock the car and turn on the parking lights through the leaver. you will hear continuous beep sound. Also while the car has the parking lights ON and you remove the keys from the ignition, you can hear the continuous alarm like PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE [:)]. It is the same buzzer which gives PEE PEE sound when you don't put your seat belts or you forgot to remove the handbrake while taking OFF[;)].

Push starting a car is not advisable.Maruti has a note in the owners manual advising against it.

Your vehicle should not be started by
pushing or towing. This starting
method could result in permanent
damage to the catalytic converter and
high pressure pump (diesel). Use jump
leads to start a vehicle with a weak
or flat battery.
In case you find yourself with a dead battery call the Exide Bat Mobile. They come and jump start your car for you.It is a much safer option.

Yes you will hear continuous beep if headlights are not switched off and key is removed. Also if you don’t close door properly and try to lock the car using remote lock, it does not flash the lights.

BTW in 3rd service of my car they did not change oil as it has done only 4.5K, I confirmed from Service Associate that it does not void warranty.

Ok so its only the parking lights and not the front headlamps?

+100. Honda doesn't recommend it either. Thats the reason I took it straight to the battery proffesional once I had got the car started. He said it was good. You should not push start a vehicle more than once or twice. This is what I was told.
I had to push start as it was a sunday morning. 6 a.m was the time.

Hope your CAT is in good shape.

If you find loss of power from your engine get the CAT checked out.

Yes sir. I had asked him to check out the CAT specifically. He said everything was good. I did not feel any powerloss as such till now. I have a service pending this saturday and will make it a point to enquire about this. I somehow could not believe that battery guy. He could have just had a look as it was in running condition and I didn't pay him[;)]
