Dear Friends,
Please give me advice regarding breaking. While moving say at 40 km/hr,and it is needed to slow down, shall I press both clutch and break (break in pumping mode )? Or apply clutch and bring gear to neutral then apply break? Or apply break only till speed comes down considerably and apply clutch just before stalling?

brake till you reach your desired speed and then use your clutch to prevent stopping. Remember to use clutch only to change gears. I know its almost impossible in cities

It depends on the situation , If you need to loose speed fast then use of both clutch and Brake will help you in slowing down fast . but if you have enough time then slow braking will do , light Pumping of brakes is good when car is in decline , you don't want to brake but also do not want car to over speed leading to car going out of control .

Light pumping is also good in light city traffic but have to be careful on how much you push the brake pedal , some bikers might bump in from behind

HI guys

What you people generally do to protect RATS entering the hood. I tried naphthalene balls but it seems it is not working. Those ******** have chewed the fluid nozzle of windscreen washer in fact the blue protective cap is completely gone [frustration] .

Yesterday, i have sprinkle some Chilli powder in engine bay. Don't know it will help or not [confused].

i dont think so, you will need rat poison to get rid of them else they multiply very fast
one entered my home and i had to take professional help.

end result found 5 dead rats in 10 days.

They should have something like that HIT Antiroach gel for rats.

The rat poison cake seems to work the best here.

To protect your wiring, try to cover it with corrugated plastic tubing.

Is there any reason why Honda says to press the clutch when starting the engine even when in neutral gear? The car starts even without pressing it, so just wondering...thanks.

I have no idea, but i think experts can only answer, why pressing the clutch is required while starting the car in neutral gear too.

Oh i see, yeah mine seat covers are artificial leather. Got as free accessories from the dealer itself [;)].

I hope wooden beads will help else have to look for other options [:D].

@ajay - yes, on page 129 of the manual, it says "The clutch pedal must be fully depressed to start the engine".

But the car starts even without pressing the clutch. Furthermore I have even managed to crank the engine accidentally while gear was in reverse.

Hey why don't you start a new thread with this question. I think we get the valid answers from the expert members [clap]. Start up procedure can not be different for each CAR[:)].

Gave my Car for second servicing @ 2035km , Service agent was Good , advised me to only go for oil change and filter change which costed me Re 1272 , he also told to me to avoid change of oil in next servicing next time ( after 6 months ) since my running is on lower side .

Problems reported

Sluggish lower gears -- Honda team said Gear box is fine , so is gear lubricants and told me to go for full clutch , but while driving back i tried full clutch method but 2nd to 1st gear is still sluggish and hard .

Told them if they can do Bumper touchup for the scratches on my front side of the car but adviser told me to go for half bumper painting which could have costed me 2500 since touch up will not do a good job , i avoided it thinking i will do it next time .

i asked him what will be Honda charges for next service which will not be free , so he told me Labour will be 1200 , plus 1272 oil change and filters , but he advised me next time to go for minor checks instead of full check which will cost 900 + taxes and avoid oil change .
