Any idea.. how much they will charge.. I have com-paints value kit for touch up at home but never used it Aeroaids Corporation - Com-Paint Touchup Spray Paint, Aerosol Spray Paint Manufacturers. I am thinking of giving a try but this bangalore weather don't know when it will start raining [frustration].
No dude no idea. But I guess scratch remover will cost you 450 Rs. I guess that will be suffecient. Pretty useful stuff that. Apply that on the scratch and rub it hard with a micro fiber cloth for 2 mins or so. The scratch will be treated.

and BTW what has rain got to do with the process ?[roll]

I don't think rubbing compound will be able to remove the scratches and it will require painting. In humid climate or in rain i can not do the touch up as i don't have closed parking [cry].

Don't know but once i tried to start the car in first gear without pressing the full clutch, the car did not start at that time.

Off the current topic:
Does Brio has "clutch-pedal switch" (Refer point 2 in link: How to: Drive a Stick Without a Clutch - Car and Driver) so that car does not start when gear is engaged and clutch is not pressed?

I don't think so, because my brio moved backwards when I was in reverse gear and accidently started engine without pressing clutch.

No it doesnt start without clutch when in gear.

@manish : Please do put up some pics to get the possible solutions from the Brio-ians here

I too had same fate , when month ago i failed to notice small cement pole on roadside while parking in heavy rains , After taking advice from many friends who own cars , I used Rubbing compound multiple times and even Wax to protect it , i can say Scratches are visible but have become lighter and are not easy to spot from far and also due to UT colour it hides well, i have uploaded image of the damage , I don't think Honda does small touch ups , so it is useless to go for whole bumper painting .

According to people who have used scratch remover , it is pretty much useless and good for small scratchless , rubbing compound is dame cheap ( rs50 ) and does same job , clean the area and using Rubbing compound for some time be hard on the effected area to remove particles .

paint touch-up of OEM is good but HONDa does not sell them in India but it is available in other countries. i am scared of using of other manufacturers since sometimes it might look odd i have seen touch up paint going bad with my friends Figo

According to Brio Manual, clutch has to be pressed before starting the car , and Gears in Neutral position , once i left car in first gear and i started car and it somewhat refused to move , i put gears back in neutral and then back to first gear then it moved , it was parked in little elevation , may be for some reasons it didn't move , but i now i always keep car in neutral after parking .

I have the same type of scratches and it is true that due to the UT color scratches are not that bright. Yesterday i checked the color of com-paint spray which i have got I was happy to find that color was exactly matching with the honda color. But since it was already 11 o'clock in the morning and it was bright sunshine i did not try for touch up as car was very hot.

At least one of the doubt is clear regarding color matching. Now the problem is how to do the perfect touch up [frustration]. Though Com-Paint have video for the same but still i am the first timer.

Guys I have a query regarding gear change and RPM. I am a new driver and BRIO is my first car. Till date I have covered 850+ kms in Bangalore city. I drive in the following manner:

0-20 km/hr – Max. 2000RPM First Gear.
20-30 km/hr – Max. 2000 rpm Second Gear.
Above 30 km/hr, third or even fourth gear can be engaged effortlessly.
Above 45 km/hr – 5th gear.

One thing I do is, I don’t allow RPM to cross 2000 even though sometimes it has touched 2.5K under unavoidable circumstances. I immediately shift to next higher gear at 2000 rpm. Whether this is correct?

What should be the gear and RPM combination range to increase the gear box and engine life along with the highest fuel economy? Please guide me so that I can improve my driving skills and at the same time life of my car[:)].

You are Moving to higher gears at much faster rate , I drive looking at the Eco Light and i have noted down best gear change as per speed . You are doing good from 1st to 3rd gear , Since you are riding in city mostly it the best Gear and speed ratio.

1st Gear --- 10km
2nd Gear ---- after it touches 20 km
3 Gear ---- 30km
4 Gear --- Below 40km but above 35km (ECO light goes off once it crosses 40 km but in light traffic it is not advisable to shift to 5th since it will lead to frequent downshifting changes )
5th gear --- Above 50 but Below 60 km .

I would like to know how much FE are you getting and other members do give your suggestions

I follow the pattern:
0-10or15 - 1st gear
20- 2nd
30-3rd
40-45 - 4th
above 45- 5th

I dont generally get the eco-light on. If i do get it, it doesnt stay longer than 15 sec or so i.e in the lower gears. On the highways, the max speed touched was 150kmph but the ecolight doesn't stay after you cross 115kmph or so in the top gear.
FE in city is around 15-16 and in the highways goes upto 23 (50% AC and 50% only fan)

Brio's Owners Manual says

Keep Gearshift in N ( Neutral ) then depress the brake Pedal with your right foot and clutch pedal with your left foot ( clutch pedal must be fully depressed to start the engine ) and then Turn the ignition switch to start without depressing the accelerator pedal ( Page No 128/9)

So i was starting the car as per Manual all this days , But I am gonna stick with this procedure, since for some reason it is recommended by Honda . Even when car starts without pressing both clutch and brakes , today i even disengaged Handbrake to check , it started .
