Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Hey bro and all the members. A question to all of you- had anyone seen a black car which is around 2 years old or more and its still glossy.i haven't seen such till now.every black car which is old have swirl marks or looks dull till now as I have experienced, but anyone here that knows or have seen an old black car glossy and new?i am asking this because my friends are saying that it's impossible to maintain a black car to its original color.is it so?[cry]
hey i dont want to be demotivating and all but it is quite difficult. but not impossible with some dedication and hard work. it is something i lacked and now i am paying for it. My Civic doesnt have that gloss that it had years back.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Today in the noon I was traveling from Thane to Vashi via Airoli. The ACC was set at 24degrees. Now the whole scene was like that my left side (my left arm) was chilled; and my right portion and the whole body was hot due to the direct sunlight from the naked glass.[cry]
I guess that this kind of situation my lead to human body's temperature change and one will have to visit doctors frequently.
If tints are totally banned then I guess the sun blinds which we get from the traffic signals are at least allowed. I am thinking to get four of them and stick then to all the four windows.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Okey so I managed to break one or may be two upper locks of the driver side one. The light is still fixed but it is moving. The light vibrates when gone over bad roads. Yesterday evening was crawling in bumper to bumper traffic and kissed an Innova's rear left bumper side slightly from that area. Today while parking outside my office; I kissed the footpath. Now this was little bit hard. But dont know that is this result of yesterday's kissing or today's kissing.[lol]

Thinking to do some fiviquick DIY with the light.[frustration] Any other ideas to fix the light?

Two options : let it be or change the whole bumper which sucks. Or get to the local market and ask if anything can be done. You should also google this and maybe some international forum has a solution. If you find it do let us know.

The first option is much more better because my bumper is good and it do not have much scratches or any cracks. Will check out tomorrow morning what can be done; else leave it as it is.[;)]

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

So today inquired our roadside tapori mechanics next to my office regarding this and they said that they need patience and time for this work. (In their language: Bhai isko bohut pyaar mohabbat se karna padega. Time lagenga. Kabhi fursat mai karange...[lol]) Thinking to do a DIY whenever I get time; hope so.[roll]

How will you reach the inside of the bumper[:D] or are you thiking of applying fevitite on the lamps first and then joining it?

Did one diy today on my i10. Hyundai put so many nuts[anger] actually the plastic cover above the wheel rbroke for some reason and it was touching the tyre. Had to remove 5 nuts (one side) to remove the part. All my hands my knees my clothes got dirty.

Thinking to remove the complete bumper first and then will look at the situation inside. Else will fix the foglight to the bumper with that fevitite. Game over.[;)] Lets hope I get some time. Actually I am scare to remove the bumper because of the quality. Also thinking to buy Windtones Horns (Skoda Type) first and install them once I remove the bumper for this work.

I love doing DIY; only in my ride. If any thing goes wrong, then no one will scold me. Also what is the worst can happen. BTW DIYs do makes cloths and hands dirty.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

when you confirm you want to add horns then only fix the lamp. don't do it yourself. [lol] i'd never even think of opening the bumper[lol] don't take any chances.

and again no [:D] the car couldn't be driven that's why i had to it on my own.

I have no problem in opening the bumper. I had completely removed and successfully installed back my DZire's bumper several times. Some times the HIDs went kaput or the Horn's wires gets loosen. So I have experience; but Fluidic's bumper quality is stopping me. May be will give a try when the car get some months old.[;)]

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

paaji opening the bumper on the verna requires that you open 4-5 nut bolts on top, 2 each near the tire. Four below and carefully opening the retention locks.

Thanks a lot for the procedure bro. Will surely have to do a DIY for this foglight stuff.

BTW; got a call from Modi Hyundai Chunabhatti. The reverse gear switch has arrived and they have called me to get it replaced.[:D]

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Update:

So went to the service center today to get the reverse switch changed under warranty. The SA told to wait for an hour and take the car right away. Waited for an hour and he came back saying that the switch which they have got is not matching.[roll] He said that they have ordered another switch from their HO and will arrive by 4pm. I left the car and told him that I want the car ready today any how; switch changed or not changed.

In the mean time got the alignment of the headlights done by the electric guy. Later showed him the vibrating foglamp. I asked him what can be done. Do I have to change the foglight or the entire bumper. He said that according to him; the light is strong but the bumper is not. He says he will have to check it. I told him to leave it since it might all get messed up. He told he will just put hand inside from the place under the fender; doing aside that plastic covering; only if I allow. I told him go ahead. He brought one flat head screwdriver and a torch. He made way for is hand to go inside and peeped in. He started to screw something from his hand. Now he told to check it. Wow it was fixed.[;)] I asked him what was the issue. He told that the screw came out and he just tightened the screw with hand. Impressive. Gave him a good pat on his back and thanked him. He was happy with this gesture. I was much more happy than him. No need of Fevitite now; I hope so.

Nways went back tho get the car at 5pm; and saw them taking the car for the trial. Car came back and I drove back home after checking the reverse camera and sensors. The car was not washed; but it was okey IMO; because when they wipe after washing the car; they dont use a good cloth and the marks are left behind.

BTW windtones plan is dropped now for atleast a couple of months more; unless I have to open the bumper for anything.[:D]
