That's great[thumbsup] my adviser told me if the brackets gets broken then there's no way to fix the lamp.

And yeah don't change the horn, stock one is good.

Actually advisers dont have much knowledge like the mechanics. Advisers just give suggestions and orders. The mechanics are the main game changers. If the mechanic is ready to check things and get it fixed then its good; otherwise many people straight away says replacement.

BTW I like windtones. IMO you get respect on road. I had them on my DZire. Just honk twice, if the road is not cleared honk for just more than two seconds; the road will be cleared. Its not the same scenario with the normal horns. My personal experience. But our horns are better than some other OE horns. No offence but have you heared City's horn?[lol]

i guess you are right on the mechanics part [thumbsup]

and i have windtones on my i10. the thing is for some reason the horn blows after 0.5 seconds. like you press the horn and after .5 seconds you hear the horn [sad]

so my dad just said " no need to change horn's on the verna" don't want the same fate [:D]

yes i have heard city's and it's ok , i mean not good not bad.

Thanks bro. That because your car kissed a dog; and I let my car kiss an Innova. Same car species. Thats why.[lol] Nways jokes apart; I am still not able to believe how that screw got loose.[roll]

Update:

Well the car is now just a few kms away to complete 16K kms mark. Well the car was not used/moved for more than five days continuously. Today morning after washing the car and reversing; I noticed that the reverse camera and the sensors were not working again. I thought that the reverse gear switch which was replaced a couple of months back might have gone kaput. Took the car to Modi without any appointments. They took the car in for a running repair. The following are the details of the complaints and the work done.

Reverse camera and Sensors not working:
When they removed the battery and the airfilter unit to get access the reverse switch; they found that some wire was cut by a rat. They joined the wires and the camera and sensors started working.

Driver Side seatbelt issue:
Driver side seatbelt would not lock properly many times. Also sometimes it would open up on its own. Although they checked it but I told them that it is issue for me. They agreed to that but the part was not available.

Rear suspension issue:

There was tak tak noise from the rear which had to be checked when the car is fully loaded with people. People here I mean Punjabis. Recently a couple of times when my whole family was in the car. In slight bumps when the car used to jump; there was annoying tak tak sound. Every one in the car use to tease me. Although they checked the car by putting three people behind; there was no noise. I insisted them to get one more in. They clearly said that the rear seat is meant for only three and if you fill more passangers it will make noise. Here I told them that I will bring three people from my family to show the noise. Also told them that if they are not addressing this suspension issue; I am going to some other service station. Later they agreed to change the springs. But again as usual; part not available.

Total charges:

Labour charges for reverse gear switch repairing: Rs 449/-[shock]

looks like modi is not living upto the impression they created in all of us at the start.
Paaji changing the springs bring little change to the noise, ive been through lots of it, it just does not change.
Btw my car crossed 20,600km the car keeps going out of line especially when driving towards chembur from mankhurd octroi in the middle lane.

Firstly they were not ready to accept that there is any noise. When I threatened them that I am getting calls from my sources which are from other service centers; they said that they will change the springs and then check. They even told that the verna has a capacity of three people at the rear; and dont fill more people. But we Punjabi's you know are healthy by God's grace; except me. If three adults from my family squeezes in the rear; then its Game Over.

BTW the noise comes when the car crosses the breaker and after that when it bounces.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

try having them check the struts as well.

Btw none of the service centers in warranty are ready to accept any issue a customer points out. Post warranty all our troubles will be solved. Paaji do inquire if there is a new service bulletin. Im getting some weird noises from the gear box while reversing the car the intensity changes with the clutch movements.

Thats the game plan of service centres of hyundais which i have already mention here. They will not notice your problem when car is under warranty but after that they will point out it to you. I have similar kind of experience with my bajaj pulsar.
Ya there is lot up and down movements on uneven road when car is fully loaded. But my service guy dont accept it and tells all vernas are like that. It might be issue of dampers as its the damper which controls the movement of suspension. I asked one mechanic if i can insert spacers in coil springs he told that it only raises GC not stiffen the spring.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

So one my verna's tooth(foglamp) is broken. It was hanging on two screws. Decided to remove it today morning. Tried to open the bumper but could not open the clips under the bumper. Dont know how to open them. Tried a lot with a screwdriver to unscrew but they didnt.[anger] Nways removed the foglamp by putting hand from under the bumper. So the news is that the foglamp is in good shape. All the clips of the foglamps are intact but the clips on the bumper are broken. They are stuck to the screw. Will have to change the bumper[cry] which I am not going to do. Today roamed around without one foglamp.

But wait; how about fixing the whole foglamp to the bumper itself. Will do a jugad unless I know how to remove those clips.[roll]
