Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Thanks a lot bro. I will have to save 40k for them from now on.[frustration]

BTW today got the extended warranty for Rs9940/- Three years/80k kms.[:D]
Also showed then the indicator on the ORVM which was not working. They said it will take atleast 3hrs for the work. So dropped the idea and told them that I will leave the car the other day when I will have time.
small works and they say it will take that much time. i was telling nick the other day when i went to the showroom for changing only 1 mud flap.

it took me 3 hours and i was going crazy. and even i drove even after opening the job card [lol] i got angry and left. but they asked me to come and get the work done.

from that day never went to that service center again.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

you could as well fix it as a diy but then if your not sure its best not to do it. Mud flaps are just a 5 minute job. The showroom took 15 minutes to fit one for me, They first bring the mud flap open the plastic then look at the screws go search screw driver then remove then align then clean then go for chai or chit chat break then come and fix

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Actually I can do this DIY but you know the car is as good as new. So didnt want to mess up things. Also they said that there might be some problem with the light; and they might put that for claim. Or if there may be some loose connections they might do that proper but will take 3hrs.

So I think I will have to remove the back white coloured flap rite? Or the mirror? to access the wires.

BTW I prefer doing DIY's for all my rides. What a worst can happen? Atlast you dont have to give explainations to anyone for the mess..[:D]

well i think its best you remove the mirror first so you can push the white part of and at the same time no where the locks are so you don't mess it up, and secondly while trying to pull the white portion of without mirror removed you could scratch the paint of.

So I have to simply pull the mirror out rite; keeping in mind not to break any locks..

I have seen a white fluidic without its left ORVM's outer white cover. If it was on my way then would have gone close to check the wiring sice I was on Activa; but I was standing at a signal and the car came from opposite direction and took a right turn.

yeah try pulling it from each side and not breaking it, no clue whats the quality of the mirror[lol], if you could try to pull the outer shell as well without scratching the paint then do so. But its better to follow whats given in the manual worst part is they dint even write what happens if you do it the other way around.

I have read in the hyundaiforums somewhere to use a flat head screwdriver with a cloth wrapped at the tip.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

So today tried hard (not that hard to break the mirror) to remove the mirror, but it didnt came out; nither any of the locks get unlocked. Left as it is. Also got to know that it is hard to remove the outer white cover without removing the mirror; so chucked the idea.
However after some of my trys the indicator started blinking; but again after two times closing the door it stopped again. Decided not do perform any DIYs for this thing.[roll]

loose connector issue for sure, no wonder they said 3 hours [glasses]. That door closing thing helps me as well when the speakers make kar Kar noise i open n close the door it becomes fine, when its opened and closed again the kar kar starts, i will be opening the door panel in this week to check whats touching the cone.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

6060 nice! Darnit fe still the same as the day you got it?
Last tank fill gave 14kmpl in actual where as the MID constantly showed 16kmpl. Just for my satisfaction; used the car for 100kms out of 450 kms without A/C; then also not that much improvement.[anger]
So it can be said between 13.5-14kmpl in actual with A/C.[roll]

2000 \ month. that's a lot of kilometers

mine shows 2715 after 6 months
Yeah 6k in 3months is a lot of kms but for a diesel I think thats justice. What say?[:D]

Also tomorrow might give her a nice Sunsilk Wash; if I woke up in time..

Also suggestion needed for seatcover design and colours.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Actually earlier I had made up my mind to get the 'brown and beige combo' for the seatcovers for the verna in which brown would be the major part to avoid beige colour being dirty; but after seeing some pics in the other thread, I changed my mind.
No doubt the seatcovers are looking awesome; but the brown colour is not matching with the door panels. I have thought to go for a 'black and beige combo' which may match with the door panels and the dashboard. Now I am confused to get black stripes on beige or the inverse. Or rest I am thinking to get full beige with designs done by stitch. Or some thing else.. Man I am confused...[frustration]

Get black with beige stripes. You can photoshop so i think i don't need to tell you anymore ;) also you don't have to worry about the average , vento and rapid owners too are getting just 12-14 average in city.
