Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

the b250 are soft anyhow but are crazily silent. These days whenever i look at any verna but mine from the rear at a distance i find the tires skinny, they should've put 205 in them just like the cruze.

+1. Though GIII's are noisy they are strong. Also I have seen Michelin and GIII's side by side when I was hunting tyres for my DZire. Michelins were soft and GIII's were hard.

BTW How about 215/50/16 on our Vernas?

215 on verna i think sexy, but only if it doesn't come out of the body, i just dislike that. But wouldn't you need to change the alloy then? we have a 6.5j alloy and 215 may need 7j i suppose?

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Aaha so today's Full Tank results:

KMS covered: 610
Diesel: 43.5 L
FE: 14.02

(This included 80% highways and 20% bumper to bumper traffic.)

So came back from Uran and Kalamboli and my car was full of mud due to rain. After reaching home had a nice cup of Tea and it started raining heavily. So wore my raincoat and took a bucket full of water and went out. Cleaned the car effortlessly as the mud was loosened due to rain. Finished the car cleaning (only the exterior except the tyres) in dot 7 minutes and was back on the sofa in 10 minutes as if nothing had happened.[;)]

@nick: I think 205 is more than enough for verna that too on stock alloys.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

i had gone to kalamboli and taloja today, one trailer missed scraping into my car at that circle below the expressway bridge, made a pass by dads company behind kingfisher and then went to grab biryani from famous dum biryani at taloja when i was back both doors had nice mud packs. While the alloys had become bronze. And the camera, blah! I've to take a tissue paper and clean it before reversing:roll eyes:

i went to wash the car with an umbrella and every one in the building was mocking me.
so i guess theres an improvement in your fe.
The stock alloy is of very very good quality, i doubt you would get something of similar quality and looks in the market.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

I dont think that my fe is increased because this 610kms included frequent trips to Jupiter Hospital at Thane along with our daily Vashi trip. Any you might be knowing that the Eastern Express Highway is better. There are just two signal at Godrej; othervise you cross the Thane toll; put 6the gear and you have to break right at suman nagar chembur. So IMO people frequently using that stretch might get a good fe.

i feel jealous of you diesel guys with that 6th gear, if we petrol guys had that i wonder how much more fe we would get.

by the way is your wiper working well or noisy?

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

In the beginning of the monsoons it started making noise. Then the noise stopped after a couple of days. Again in between there is some weird noise. Today morning it started doing kat kat. After some time it stopped. I think the wiper machine will not last till next year also.

Hey nick; just checked my FB. Actually had seen that mod a couple of days back and IMO it will look sexy on Black and your Grey too. Chrome on white doesnt suits. What may be the cost in INR after shipping.[roll] Will cross 30k I guess.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

yeah 30k i won't put my money into that, theres no warranty or returns accepted, if id order it and it won't work or water starts collecting in it, then my dad will mess with my happiness. Avoiding it till theres some available out here. Id like something like that however has that rich look don't you think?

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Exactly. They do give a rich look but on a white car; its a no for me unless I see them installed in a white beauty. BTW if you want; go for retro fitted ones like topguns. I have seen a black fluidic VTVT (SX or SXO not sure) long back at vashi. IT was having these projectors except those devil eyes. Those were looking good because the headlight was kept stock. No painting black and all.[:)]

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

its a tough decision man, i was thinking of doing it long back, it is what this car needs. But then i started having more trips to the service and i dropped the plan of even getting a rockford shallow mount sub 250watt. I had a sub in mind, a caska/motevo, projector headlights, change the cabin and license plate lights to leds, k&n stock filter, tpms and to change the seat covers to stanley, but when the issues started cropping up my dad says "hell no!"

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Thanks a lot bro. I will have to save 40k for them from now on.[frustration]

BTW today got the extended warranty for Rs9940/- Three years/80k kms.[:D]
Also showed then the indicator on the ORVM which was not working. They said it will take atleast 3hrs for the work. So dropped the idea and told them that I will leave the car the other day when I will have time.
