Yeah some times. Rest of the times highways. Not those kind of Express ways but normal highways. Those too have signals so FE kills there.

And do some PS Job on the verna :p

Will surely do so but I need time for them. Lets see when it can be done. Will do in some days.

Yeah and leave aside people; my Mom and Dad to call me mad clicking pics of car now and then.

man my car doesn't even look dirty i drove it 100 kms today went to that vada pay stall just on the way to goa/alibaugh. The went to taloja to have biryani Burp! In the evening drove to chembur to sbarro and then around of kharghar through all that metro contraction work and what not. Plus there was no way to get saved from puddles so i bet my underbody and wheel wells got a nice wash as well.

but oh yes my fog lamps head light are so dirty, and reverse camera had a sepia vignette effect

btw don't you feel the sound of mud/stones being throw up inside the wheel wells is louder then other cars?

Nways the car completed oops rather I should use to word 'tolerated' us for a month.

Sorry for a late update. Well there's a renovation work going at my house so the Net connection was down; though I use to visit the forum through my Samsung Ace. Nways since there is renovation at home; Dad gave me leave from work and told me to stay home to inspect the work since our plans keeps changing at last moments and all. So the car is in Dad's hand. One week passed; I thought since Dad is driving the FE might increase; but nopes, it the same old in the 13kmpl range.

Nways on Wednesday Dad was returning from Kalamboli; and he heared some noices like tak tak kad kad from the front of the car. He thought some plastic housing or something like that might have got loosen and so he drove back home slowly. So after reaching home he informed me that there is some insane noice comming from the car like kad kad tak tak. I was all tensed since I thought my car was away from the noices and all. The next Day the worker's at my house were at leave so I decided to go to office since I was all bored at home from a week. So started the car; put he first gear; released the clutch and after crossing some meters I heared the noice. Drove for half a km and parked the car aside. Checke under the car to fing some thing hanging or some loose part. Opened the bonnet to check every thing was okey. Pumped the car with hand from the from and then came the noice.

Sat in the car and I decided to show the car to MODI since it was in our way. Reached there and it was lunch time there. Told the receptionist about the problem she said to wait for 10mins everyone is having lunch. Waited for 15mins; came the mechanic. Looked like a head of the mechanics and not exactly. He was aged and senior. Told him the problem. He said lets go for a spin. I said sure. He sat beside me and I drove. Reversed the car and then came the noice. He told to take over a speed breaker. I told no need of a breaker it comes without a breaker also on normal road condition. Also decided to show him my fourth gear kar kar noice; but to my surprise; the kar kar noice had gone away. Donno how but yes; it was not there. Even the car was feeling free. He told that there might be some issue in the suspension. I asked is it major. He said cant say rite now unless and untill we will see it.

Returned back. The car was lifted up.





He straight away went under the car and checked the left Link Assy of the suspension. Yeah that was the culprit. He said the Link is gone. Need to be changed but it is not in stock rite now. I said now what? Wnen will the part come? He said let me check in our head office. He went and came back after a couple of minutes. He said that the part is available there and he has place the order which will arrive tomorrow morning. I was like so what now? He asked me do you need the car? I said yes. I need the car today. He instructed some mechanic to check the nut bolts and some pins of that part. After his inspection; he said bring the car tomorrow and the part will arrive in the moring. I asked is it safe to drive the car like this? He said ofcourse; but dont go out of town like this. I said I have to go to Vashi and then Kalyan Seakpatta for some work. Will cover some 80kms today. He told no problem. He took my number and said that he will call me tomorrow once the part is arrived. I told that I need the car tomorrow itself and I might not be leaving the car for days here. He said okey he will try to do so.

So went to work and whole day the car gave numerious kind of sounds like fire crackers.

Next day the Friday; I was not sure that the par will arrive so early since this was a newly opened center and I doubted their service, But to my surprise got a call exactly at 10am and was informed that the part has arrived and was told to bring the car ASAP.

So went ther by 11am and searched my earlier SA. Again to my surprise; I was informed that he has left the job and has joined HONDA. So went to the reciptionist. She knew me; and told to have a seat. But I went out and there met the yesterday guy the Mechanics. He greated me and told the part has arrived. I asked him when will he return the car. He said by evening ASAP. He said you come before 6pm and collect the car. Handed the car to them.

In the evening around 3.30pm gat a call that the car was ready. Again didnt expected this but have to believe this. They were quick. Went to the center. Saw my car; waiting for me. Met the SA; he said lets go for a spin. Started the car and took her out. Hmmm she was silent. Rammed over the speed breaker and not a single noice. Was happy inside. Drove the car madly ove rthe pot holes here and there rough patches to find any noice; but not a single noice. The SA next to me was holding the upper handle with both the hands. I was happy. Also enquired him about how much FE shoud this car give. He saw my face and said 8-10kmpl. I started laughing and said; No please dont assume that I drive this way. This was just for checking the noice. He brought some smile in his face and said then in city it shoukd give you 11-12kmpl but if going inter states you might get more than 15kmpl.

So returned back to the Center. He told that there is a bill of Rs43. I asked about what? He said that this is for a nut. I told that the car is hardly a one and a half month old and there is warranty I guess. He said that there is no warranty for nut bolts and all. Also he said that the Link Assembly has been changed for free of cost. I said I know that. Pai dthe bill. Also askid him when will I have to come againg for this kind of issues. He said we have used orighinal parts sir. I told so that means that the earlier one was not original or what? He said that its not like that sir. We cant trust mechanical parts. Nways you have a warranty so dont take any tension. He gave me the feedback form. Gave then full marks. Went out to meet that mechanic uncle but he had gone for a trial. Waited for couple of minutes. He came and greated him and also thanked him for his quick service. He was very happy from this gesture and assured me that bring the car any time if you have any problem in future. Said thanks once again to him and left.

Phew thats it I cant type any more...

so this problem was new i think. because another member had some problem with the rear suspension.

if you could explain , what really the link assy does ?

and we should treat all the mechanics the way you did.

after purchasing the verna i changed the service center and always wait for my adviser to come and check the car. he quoted " doctor and car's adviser , 1 hi hone chahiye"

and you seemed very much surprised at all the things related to the center , you didn't expect these things right anyways glad to know that the problem is gone.

Yup thats the point. Thats why whenever I start writing some updates; I end up writing the whole katha. Also it will take more time to decide what to write and what not to. So wrote everything.

Yeah. The earlier problem to my surprise was gone by its own. That kar kar noise in fourth gear. This one was new. Some issue with the suspension part,

Well had not taken the pic of that part from my car but this is the related pic which I could find in the net. It is basically a part that supports the suspension to be straight I guess.

Its simply making Relations buddy. Give respect; take respect; as simple as that. Also because of me wasting a couple of my minutes, he became happy. Now he will remember me (hope so!) Also not to forget he was an aged man almost of the age of my dad; may be a couple of years younger. Also rest of all; he was quick to do the work; saving my time.

I also follow the same rule. But this time the SA left the job. Also when I had my DZire we had the same SA. We use to first call him for service and ask him if we can bring the car for service. When he felt that a particular day is little bit free; he tells us to take appointment for that day.

Exactly. This is the newly opened center. For normal services it was okey but I doubt about them solving my issue. But they did it almost withing 24hrs; that too because the part was not available with them. I left the car with them for around 4-5hrs maximum.

theres a similar kind of uncle in his 60's at the chevy workshop he's a nice person he jokes around pulls legs and sees to it that only what is genuinely needed is done. Its good to have one service advisor he knows you as well as the car and will do the work better.

out here at sharayu you can't approach the advisor directly, you fill a form first then wait an advisor will come and pick the form from the stack, this causes some new advisers to act over-smart etc.

I'm getting more and more impressed by modi, if only my dad would give the go ahead to take the car out there.

I dont know the exact term but in my billing they have mentioned Link Assy. Thats it. Also the mechanic uncle was saying the same thing. BTW what are the symptoms of bad stabiliser link rod since you have changed. Did you got noice even on less plane roads?

There was absolute no noise at all, but they were replaced as a preventive measure, when the brake pads were being replaced.
