No mods planned , esp in exterior.

Interiors will depend on vit M at final stage.

The rear shocks were removed , now the car just dances with the springs.

The shocks are just too hard , damn hard. Must be some truck spare altered height with a extra spacers welded to it by the previous owner , may be to accommodate bigger tyres

No idea what shock to buy, but need a soft one. may be a scorpio's will match

Nice to get lot of sierra fans !!

UPDATE:
first a sorry for no picture,

i myself cant sit with the car due to work. but i believe its in safe hands , all my ex staffs!

Tinker work going on slowly.
Almost all parts like rubber beeding locks handle , lights are bought.

I have got a shock with number s 800371. matches the height exactly. remember old shocks were height adjusted by previous owner.
this is tata 608 front suspension. works good.

I am against all alterations made on Tata Sierra. I read about the cooling fan you have installed (the electric one ) . I had teh same problem of heating up and was really upset about it. I got the Engine Head serviced and went for a test drive . I got more upset because the engine was getting heated up the same way.

I have to travel and had no other option but go with this. Initially I had to drive slow because of the road from Coimbatore to Chennai. Once I reached the toll road, I hit 80 and was monitoring the temp , it raised up to half, 90-100-110 it remained there, never went up . I maintained the speed between 90 and 100. It was a very smooth ride.

On the way back , I had to use AC because was travelling during day and it raised up the temp a bit but never went up the mark. I travelled almost 3000 kms and the engine is perfect.

Sierra almost top mark of the temp needle is the "fan start point of indica " means the water temp is absolutely normal at top point.
i have said this in my earlier post itself.

But this helped in 2 things ,
one peace of mind as the thermostat will work when needed.
less strain to engine as the fan is removed and hence at high speed the car is more better than with a fan , since the opposite wind do not stop the fan

The rusting is obvious, but AFAIK you had a nice working car then why did you went for overhaul? Did it started giving problems? The rust spots were severe almost ate the body in the places you posted pictures of. BTW, do make sure that you use alot of damping sheets everywhere in the carpet area inside the cabin on all four doors and inner firewall (behind the dash). Waiting for further update.
