Google's Gboard gets custom 'Mini' selfie emoji sticker option on Android and iOS

Similar to Google Allo’s “Selfie Stickers,” the search giant has introduced AI-powered custom emoji stickers on Gboard, called the “Mini”. Google has launched “Mini” stickers for Android and iOS today. Users can get the feature by updating the Gboard for iOS or Gboard for Android app to the latest version via App Store or Google Play respectively.

Chrome OS version 69 brings refreshed 'Material Theme' design, Linux app support

The update brings Chrome OS in line with Chrome versions across all compatible platforms.

The biggest change here is the refreshed ‘Material Theme’ design, which comes with rounded corners and overall softer visuals. In addition, it finally brings Linux app support to Chrome OS, a feature that had been in beta until now. Developers can now Linux apps and command-line tools via a terminal. The feature is intended to allow developers test Android apps on Chromebooks.

Google Chromecast 2018 gets refreshed with 60fps 1080p streaming

The Chromecast 2018 comes in Charcoal and Chalk colours and offers the same resolution of that of its predecessor which is 1080p. Users interested in 4K streaming will still have to buy the more expensive Chromecast Ultra. However, Google has seeded the Chromecast 3 with the ability to stream 1080p content at 60fps.

The new Google Chromecast is available for an asking price of $35 (approx. Rs 2,600)

‘Android Messages’, the default SMS and MMS app that comes with Google Pixel devices has received a small change today. Google has just renamed the app from ‘Android Messages’ to ‘Messages’ on the official Play Store listing on the app. It is likely that this has been done to simplify things and make the name consistent because it is not like the app is being used on any other operating system.
