exactly!! Fun to drive factor is only in Ford cars.. how about considering classic D ..

I know its quite old now.. but is it worth considering .??

Ya its worth considering, no worries but will definitely miss some features compared with i20 elite and Zest, but still if driving enjoyment is priority the Classic still is unbeatable

Seems the launch is nearing

Really wish Ford would launch Figo sedan with 1.5 petrol, the 1.0 i3 will be too much under powered

The loos seems good, not ground breaking, but one thing is assured since its a reworked Fiesta 2002 chassis, the dynamics cannot be mistaken, it will be on top of the class
Seems interior is spacious as well

As far as I know, engines on the new Figo Twins will be detuned from the current engines on Ecosport(1.0 P & 1.5 D). Expect Power & Torque to drop and Efficiency to bump up.
Fords' are always known for thier Dynamics and the Figo Twins won't be different which is a good thing. Lets hope Ford doesn't compromise on Equipment for these, because other Fords' are again well equipped (Ecosport, Fiesta).

But the trouble is power, Ford usually compromises on power
If power for at least petrol is not compromised it will be a win win situation

The forthcoming new Ford Figo-based compact sedan was spotted on test in Udaipur recently, and shows its interior in these spyshots clicked by Gaadi.com.

The all black dashboard gets a piano-black finish for the center console, similar to the 2014 Fiesta.
The all-black interior sports a piano black finish for the center console, and a mobile-docking station, which Ford mentioned at the time of the unveiling of the Figo concept sub-4m sedan last year. This feature will likely allow uses to play music from their mobile phones, while adding further functions like Bluetooth-enabled calls and text message readouts.
The car spotted here is likely a top-end variant, and hence sports dual front airbags. ABS would also be a part of its safety equipment list.
Power for the Figo compact sedan will come from the 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, apart from a petrol motor. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be the transmission of choice.

Seems like Ford has learned a lot when selling volumes matters,I see beige interiors for the Figo sesan,a very welcome sight for lot of Indians,
The car is 99% Ford Ka itself,almost everything about the car is well versed,just waiting for the release,really interested in what petrol engines will make it to Indian Figo sedan, really wish for the 1.5l petrol ,the 1.0 i3 will be too much underpowered

Ford India tweets and reveals the Figo Sedan - ASPIRE. Inaugurates its second Indian plant In Sanand. Vehicle operations plant and engine manufacturing plant in Gujarat to make India the hub for Ford to export small cars to other markets.

The Figo Aspire will be powered by two engines, one is a 1.2-litre TiVCT petrol engine and the other is 1.5-litre DV5 diesel engine. This will be launched by August-September 2015.

Ford Figo Aspire coming in June 2015

Ford has just unveiled production versions of the new Figo Aspire compact sedan, and has started production of the Figo Aspire at its brand new Sanand plant in Gujarat.

The Ford Figo Aspire will be powered by the new 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre DV5 turbo-diesel engine. The carmaker has already started testing the new Figo in both, hatchback and compact sedan forms in India. The Ford Figo Aspire will also get a 1.5-litre petrol motor mated to a six-speed twin-clutch automatic gearbox.

Ford Figo Aspire to come with three-engine, two-transmission options.
More powerful versions of 1.5 diesel and Figo’s 1.2 diesel;1.5 petrol with 6-speed DSG

The base model of the Aspire is expected with a 1.2-litre petrol which according to the company will set a benchmark in fuel efficiency. This 1.2 motor is the same Sigma engine in the previous Figo, but gets a four-valve head and twin camshafts with variable valve timing. The extra hardware is expected to boost power from 70bhp to close over 80bhp.

The diesel option in the Aspire is the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre DV5 motor which powers the Ecosport, but company sources have hinted that the Aspire’s diesel engine could have a slight increase in power and torque. Some sources say that power has been increased to 100bhp whilst the hatchback version will get the current 89bhp version. The increase in power hasn’t come at the cost of fuel efficiency and in fact the revised 1.5 diesel is understood to have even better efficiency than before

The Aspire 1.5 auto is expected to be more expensive than its rivals, all of which are powered by 1.2 litre petrols which get a 12 percent excise advantage.

A good front and finally 1.5l tdci(undertuned though) may have punch to get the sales chart to rise up for ford stable.

Surprised to hear that Ford is going to give new Aspire 90+ HP for its Dv5 motor, when its sedan Fiesta dosent get anything better than 90,
Also I am more excited at the new Powershift Aspire,1.5l 109 bhp, 140 NM and Poweshift though not as good as DSG has some punch and gets lifetime warranty unlike DSG and with the nee Aspire expected to weigh just under 1100 kg kerb weight even with Powershift ,I think this could even post a slight heat to the Polo GT Tsi, finally I believe Ford has made the right choice at least with Aspire mate right engine with right car,above average to good Power and with an engine like the 1.5 TIVCT, mileage is sure to be a high point as well,

It will click 'IF' ford quotes the price rightly. Or else it will be another fiesta same old story. Alas a good package by ford. Zest and dzire will surely be front runner with ford having lot of catching up to do.
