Ford hasn't learned anything,planning to launch this next year?!By the time this reaches the market,the trend would be altogether a different one I guess.Ford is now a sitting duck.Good luck Nigel,you are more than marked.

Ford has to launch 23 new products throughout the world in 2014, thats the biggest launch history for the company since was found, so 2014 is considered as a non profit year by global ford, so I dont think they can pace up launch for India alone as the new Figo sedan concept is for the whole world as well, sure it will loose a lot of customers but, its better to launch a well put together well thought out product rather than hurrying out and lunching something that customers will complain about regarding,quality,reliability,and availability, Ecosport which should have crossed 1 lakh bookings by now has now just passed 60000+ bookings due to their back log, poor inventory management and supply chain system, so I think when the Sanand plant at Gujarat is operational the availability and lack of inventory story problem can be eliminated and thus better service and less waiting periods for any further launches to follow as well

I agree for surely, they need to work for better incabin space to be used.
Looking at the image for the interiors, it was surely not ready for showcasing as well.So we need to wait and see what the final product is coming ahead.
And as another member said, they came out with Figo name on its rear plate.

In India, it is likely that it will be manufactured at Ford’s upcoming manufacturing facility in Sanand, alongside the Figo sedan, that will begin serial production in late 2014 or early 2015.

Figo compact sedan getting the non turbo version of ecoboost engine,
As per a German magazine Ford might release figo hatch back in 2 states of tune,the basic one will be in fight with micro hatchbacks like alto,datsun go,Vauxhall Adam,fiat panda,etc
It will host same dimensions as current gen figo but will have a 1.0 i3 with 59 bhp and 90NM torque

The second model figo too will look same but will have a 1.0 ecoboost i3 with 79 bhp and 104 NM torque

These cars will be extremely competitive ly priced and is expected to take the sub compact and micro compact industry with force,Ford also claims that though these cars are small they still will hold Ford's 4 pillar policy of quality, green,safe and smart.
A lot of work and testing is being conducted on the current generation figo platform since its extremely successful in India,south Africa, Brazil, and Ford is seriously thinking of making the figo hatch a competittory candidate for world car of the year 2015, as it will be completely emissions free,costs much less compared to how spacious practical, safe,comfort it gets to customers.

Also the website gave the new KA+ sedan/Figo sedan one of highest marks among all of its competition like Hyundai HB20 aka Xcent, Chervolet Prisma aka Chevy SAil etc
Seems to be w good choice and a smart entry into sub 4 m sedan segment

Central Lock / Unlock buttons hints of no Auto Door Lock! This is indeed one of the intelligent features as claimed by Ford while launching Figo and yes, it's a boon for sure. Don't know why the manufacturers sorely skip the best features. Same with Grand i10/Xcent which is otherwise a well featured and packed car. The new Elite i20 glaringly misses the FE or even DTE which is a bare minimal requirement. Can't understand their philosophy, however, I am sure they don't miss these unknowingly.
