After switching to Michelin P3ST from good year, now i am hearing the engine noise from my ecosport. Since there is nil noise from the tires now i can hear only the engine noise while cruising. Earlier with goodyear due to tyre noise i was not able to hear any noise from the engine bay [lol]

From a Punto (D) owner:

Rented the Titanium version from Zoomcar for ~ 300 KM drive from Pune airport to Solapur highway and back and my overall experience was great. [clap].

+ves:

* Handling was very good - perhaps the only reason I would rate Punto higher would be due to I am used to it.

* Unfortunately could not cross 110 KM/hr due to Zoomcar restriction about crossing 120, anyway with expecting wife and 5 yr kid I kept under 100 for almost all the journey.

* The car had done 30 K but was in great condition, tyres new.

* Outside noise was very well insulated - better than my Punto!

* I felt turning over short area was lot easier than Punto

* !st and 2nd gear performance (revving) felt better than Punto

Some concerns:
* I thought the 3rd, 4th gear feel was not as good as 1st/2nd

* The pull / power in 1st and 2nd gear felt lesser than that of Punto

* The car seemed so reluctant to pull in 1st gear that many times I felt it would stall. Good part is it never did!

Also, to clarify on my observations with performance in various gears, I enjoyed Ecosport most in 1-2-5 gears (could be because my 1st experience) while I enjoy Punto most in 2-3-4-5.

In short, overall experience with Ecosport was really great and I was happy to use it as able substitute for my Punto.

@ Hemantp,

And if you done top speed or constant triple digit speeds, like me you also searched for the 6th gear,
Ford should provide 6 gears for the EcoSport, because from 80 kmph to its max possible speed I have to be in 5th gear and after crossing 135 kmph speed, one will feel the need for next gear because of the engine feels slightly stressed, noise is hearable.
And having the 6th gear also helps in smoothness and mileage efficiency

I would rate Laxmi Ford Thanjavur as better than Metro Ford Bangalore,

Last month I gave my EcoSport for 40k service (my vehicle is at 33k, I used to give it for service and oil change at every 8000 kms )

This service is similar to 20k service where they need to change brake and other fluids along with engine oil and have to replace the ac poleon filter and oil filter, along with that I asked them to do below actions.

Tire rotation.
One puncture fix
Wheel balancing
Wheel alignment

All together with tax it costs me 6150 rupees

All requested things are done with complete satisfaction and vehicle is better, but they found clutch master cylinder assembly is leaking oil and showed me that, also said even Ford doesn't have it in stock, asked me on when I will come back to Thanjavur so that they will order and make sure the part is available for replacement atfree of cost under warranty and I need to pay only for the oil cost.

They follow-up with Ford, Ford customer support and dealer updating me on every week about the master cylinder assembly availability status.

This master cylinder assembly is just located behind the clutch pedal, and the oil leak or fault will cause harshness in changing gear and some tines it makes changing gear tougher

On 24th they just called and asked me where are you sir ? I said am at Thanjavur only, they replied back stating the part is available when you can come to have the issue fixed, replied to them stating I will be there in 20 minutes, they fixed service appointment and the issue is gone and changing gears is butter smooth now, and it took 3 to 4 hours for them to fix
I paid 475 for the fluid change, and ford replaced the master cylinder assembly at free of cost ( the actual price of the part is 4750)

Is it possible to install 360 degree parking assist on ford ecosport? There some options available for about 30K. Any ideas on this?
Yes it is possible, leave the existing reverse parking default setup as it is.
Buy a park assist system that covers front and two sides of the car and that new park assist system should come with its own parking alert screen display unit seperatly added to the dashboard in a place where easily accessible and viewable to driver

I felt clutch related problems will take a big dent on mileage (fuel economy)

The latest (top two) are after fixing the clutch master cylinder assembly issue.

See below picture for the mileage difference

In the recent two mileage figures
17.xx kmph is the mileage I got on Thanjavur to Chidambaram trip where it's a single lane bad traffic roads and in some places village roads.

And the 22.xx mileage is on Thanjavur to bangalore higgh way trip where my speed is around 90 to 145 kmph started at 11 and reached Bangalore at 5: 30 pm with1 hour break and the mileage is 22.xx kmpl
