Yes END is a suspention component. END and connecting rod replaced. Charged rs 6500/= another 5,300/= for 30k service.
Senraj
Any accidents or something on front left, there is no such need for suspension component change at low 30k kms range,
Also has the comfort and sound improved and gone now.

Thank you all for your valuable inputs. I have heard that the petrol 1.5 suffers from poor performance. I have tried Diesel, Ecoboost & also the 1.5 AT. The 1.5 AT was a big let down for me.
I would be glad to know ownership reviews of 1.5 petrol Ecosport.
I have 1.5L petrol MT( Titanium ) purchased in Dec 2013. I have done Mumbai-Leh-Mumbai in 2014 and Mumbai-lahaul spiti-Mumbai in 2015. This being NA engine there is definitely a power loss in high altitude because of low oxygen ( difficulty during ascent ). Otherwise on straight road the performance is quite good. On tar road there is absolutely no sound of engine when driving sedately ( you can hear the sound of tyres on concrete road ). Over all it is a good vehicle.

30000 kms. in two and a half years. Out of which 6000 kms are Mumbai-leh-Mumbai in 2014 and nearly 5000 kms are Mumbai - spiti - Mumbai in 2015 ( I did Mumbai-Himmatnagar-Jaipur-Chandigarh-Manali-Gramphoo-Batal-Chandrataal-Rangrik-Komic-Kaza-Gui-Tabo-Nako-Sangla-Chitkul-Narkhanda-Chail-Chandigarh and back to Mumbai same route)
For 30000 kms service Ford dealer charged me little above Rs 6000/-.
I get 16-17km/ltr. on Mumbai -Pune - Mumbai at 90kmph.
In Mumbai city drive I get 11-12km/ltr.

Thank you Vintage. I went for the Titaium+ Ecoboost. Driven it for about 350km. It's an absolute pleasure. Planning to do an ownership review after I complete 1000km

In a 30K service you had to replace the "Connecting rod"? [surprise] what?
The connecting rod small end is connected to the piston through the "Gudgeon pin" and large end to the crankshaft. This is a vital part. Where was the issue ? was it on the "Bush bearing" inside the small end (or) "Journal bearings" on the crankshaft side (or) the rod got bend due to stress/Fatigue?
Ask the FORD dealer ,I am not sure why its not covered under the warranty?

Sorry!.I was carried by the word "Connecting rod". It looks its the suspension issue and the term should be connecting end and bush . (In fact if it was a connecting rod issue the engine would have stopped and need to open it for replacement.)
Well, then even at 30K service the suspension shouldn't fail like this one. Indian road condition does matter a lot here. Drive safe and avoid pot holes .

Tire Change at 51K km

Changed the tires of my ecosport. Yesterday went to the tire dealer MA tire corporation. Dealer has all the known brands. I have opted for Michelin P3ST. Changed the valves also. Opted for the WONDER brand for the valves. These are Italy make.

Cost of each tire after discount = 5,900/- (Feb’16 make)
Cost of each valve = 100/-

My stock tires were good year assurance. After installing P3ST the ride has become super smooth and quite. Steering response and handling have improved. I am really happy that I opted for P3ST. I will highly recommend P3ST for comfortable, quite ride and better handling and grip. I guess the extra cost is really worth.

While checking the alignment I observed that camber of left and right tires are not same. Right side tires camber is slightly more than the left tires (still in the ford recommended range). I asked the tire wala to set the camber. But they say they can change only toe. Camber cannot be changed. They asked me to contact FSC.

Can anyone please through some light on camber setting?

Guyz,

I have one doubt. Since Michelin P3ST is soft compound tire, shall i increase the tire pressure for better acceleration. With good year assurance i was maintaining 31 PSI. Now also i am maintaining 31 psi but rolling resistance seems to be slightly more compared to Goodyear.

^after purchasing of Michelin tires customer's detail and tire detail will be registered in Michelin. An unique ID will be generated and the same will be given to the customer. In future for claiming any warranty issue this ID is required.
