This has happened in the past for all the superhit models like the M800, Swift and the likes. Eco-sport is going to be the first one from Ford to have such luck, or should I say bad-luck [anger]

Initially he gave the date of 11th June and then changed to week starting 17th.

At the time of booking they said delivery in the first lot by end of June. But later they are playing safe saying up to 1-2months.

Ecosport going to be sold in nepal at a price of NPRS 2200000, dont know which variant as of now it was the 1.5l manual titanium and it was ex-showroom price, but fully loaded honda city ex-showroom nepal is 4200000 NPRS, so giving a math i found its price may be 8.57 lakh ex showroom for 1.5 Titanim petrol, sounds interesting to me, in that case diesel titanium will be around 9.57 lakh ex showroom and ecoboost a 8-9 lakh ex showroom, just a guess but this price combination a little bit on the higher side but might work out well if priced like this

Ecoboost 0-100 in 10.8 s according to speedometer of ES pretty good for a 1256 kg car

I would love it if the mid variant is around 9.1 to 9.25 lakh on road. Planning to visit MPL Ford with my leaves tomorrow . Let's see if I am able to get some good news for my side [;)]

I was wondering why the hell didn't the ford guys tune the new fiesta's engine the way the Ecosport is tuned, the Ecosport 1.5 Diesel has lighter clutch better low end torque and better drivability than new fiesta, again putting some math into this matter the Ecosport does 0-100 in 13.2 s (Overdrive) 13.76s(Autocar) so lets assume its average 13.45s for 0-100 kmph, Ecosport is 1256 kg and new fiesta 1176 kg kerb weight wise, so if this tune was offered for new fiesta it would have made its 0-100 kmph in 12.26s and would have had a little bit less milage on highway 22 kmpl rather than 23 kmpl,New fiesta does 0-100 in 13.33 s as of now,the Ecosport has drag of 0.34 and fiesta 0.29 so it will be faster in accelerating from 60 kmph and above since drag starts playing its role to pierce the air resistance, and if we consider the drag advantage of Fiesta sedan it might get 0-100 kmph in say 12.0s since its lighter and more arodynamic and that would have atleast solved the huge turbo lag and lack of punch issue of new fiesta sedan,but why?

I find only 2 reason why ford did such a foolery . Either boneham or someone in didnt want Fiesta to be a success for some reason,personal or lateral gain hopes or ford might have been in a hurry and messed the new Fiesta all together Either way i hope the 2014 ford fiesta might get this tune and will have better interior and better proposition than what it has nowand the 1.0 Ecoboost engine in the fiesta will be a fire cracker, i hope it gets a 0-100 kmph time of 9.4-10s and milage of around 20 kmpl, and if ford is ready to relaunch the fiesta sedan in this form with the ecoboost, i would definitely give it a serious look more than the Ecosport because i think that will be better drivers car and will get better real world economy than Ecosport

I test drove the fiesta AT to have a feel of the engine and the gear box before I did my pre-booking of my EcoSport AT.
I felt the car was really good, better front seats than EcoSport and better handling than Ecosport. I liked the leather seats too. In EcoSport I won’t be able to change the seat cover even for my taste due to AT’s air bags. I need air bags more than the seat covers but it would have been ideal to give the leather seat in for the AT. Not sure why Ford thought otherwise. [sad]

If Ford mess-up the pricing, I’ll be tempted to look at Fiesta and I may get a good deal as its not selling well. [;)]

I am visiting MPL teynampet today to prebook but the person there has been denying me over the phone about this telling that they haven't started any kind of prebooking though my friend has done it with them. So, decided to go there, make it and come back. Taking my mom too.

Ford should keep a strict check on this, else, this will encourage hoarding and black-marketing.
