Its 2018 October I guess ie the parking sensors and optional rear view camera must on cars, ABS+ EBD as well must on cars

No actually there are some sightings of new Ecosport, I am a member of a whatsapp group where some members have spotted the Ecosport a white coloured one at a petrol pump, so testing is still underway,
Also I believe Ford is now waiting for GST effects to settle down, GST has already made a price increase of upto Rs 30,000 on Ecosport, so maybe Ford has to rethink on the Platinum trim for facelift Ecosport as it might get too pricey for some people, so maybe its true, they need to play it safe,with a heavy fight from Nexon underway Ford has to make no mistakes to keep customers on boat, a fast launch might pick up lot of initial customers but we have already seen how Ford had to cut lot of options like push button start etc from Titanium+trims after launch back in 2013, so they have to make sure to make minimum mistakes a t launch so that there is a long terms customer base rather than a short burst at launch and then subside with time due to competitions heat.

if thats the case then ford had lost a good number of customers to nexon (maybe including me too) by giving away the festive season, specially diwali, to tata as gift. they should have known how big festive time like diwali is for car sales, specially for new cars.
saw this on twitter, someone in gurgaon has been driving the updated version with the number plate of the old version. the number shows to be registered in april 2016.

Regarding the leak of customers to Tata, that will happen irrespective of festive launch, true Ford could have had a bigger pie of market share with Ecosport launch before Nexon launch, but at the same time I hate Lemons, so if they can launch one with minimum Lemons, that would be better, all said I still think the launch of Ecosport is just 2 months away, ie by November, so its not like an year long wait, also Ecosport vs Nexon is a hard choice, so I wil wait till Ecosport launch despite myself k owing that Nexon is superb, but can Ecosport be better even if its costlier? That I need to find out myself.

not a test mule, actually the person on twitter said that there were 2 such cars, same colour same number standing in that area. looks like some impatient ford company employee or a ford dealer was eager to go around in the updated version.

Probably, anyway the new Blue color looks smart and I guess we will have to wait till November to see and drive new face lift Ecopsorts, till then Nexon will be making hay

Don't think so, looks legit enough. If you look carefully, the right headlamp and bumper is also lit up, most probably due to a nearby white light which is just behind the person who took the photo.
The blue color and the front of this new ES really looks good, I must say!

Its the Titanium variant, good looking alloys and SYNC 3 floating screen can be seen inside with matte rubberized front center console , so its almost certain we are getting 99% same interior as the ones in Brazilian version and good to see the all black theme which might feel claustrophobic but is much better to maintain neatly
Also its 5 speed Manual transmission for diesel
No sunroof in Titanium
Projector headlamps and DRLs too in Titanium variant
Titanium still coming with 16" alloy wheels
Also reverse camera seems to be mounted on the rear top spoiler, which I feel is a good position as we might get a better view
The new Dragon petrol engines briefing is set for 1st week of October 2017, so its almost sure we are just 1 or 2 months away from launch
