Sorry bro, but disagree with you Nexon is much more silent than ES. I'm ok with Dzire, Brazza city D, NVH very high in these cars. Engine sound clearly audible in ES D compare to Nexon. Nothing offensive but these are my observations.

Hi, if you notice, I haven't compared it with Nexon (honestly, haven't driven Nexon yet). I was comparing Ecosport with its previous iteration. I have driven Swift, Dzire, City and hence compared with them too.

There has been a development my side and I am cancelling my bookings of both the Nexon XZ+ and the new Ford Ecosport Trend + AT.
I have bought a pre-owned vehicle for which I got a good deal through known sources. Shall make a new ownership thread soon once I use the car a little. Totally happy with my purchase.

Ecosport again this month gets an upper hand over Nexon in sales

Its said Tata has production constraints, otherwise it would have been in 6k-7k range for Nexon, still not bad for Ecosport considering how strong competitor Nexon is and how weak brand perception of Ford is and how much the Brezza tries to crumble Ford and Tata

with ford announcing 4% hike in prices from jan, i am bit confused. if i book ES on coming weekend and the delivery happens in jan, will i be charged 2018 price? or is the price charged at the time of allotment of the vehicle?

Yes. The price applicable during invoicing will be charged, which means the revised price. But all other manufacturers are also raising prices. So unfortunately all cars become costly and the comparison among cars remains same.

The Titanium+ varinnts will be most affected as witj 4% hike both Titanium+ petrol and diesel fit into the higher tax band giving huge advantage to Nexon and Brezza in price points, these variants will touch 13+ lakhs on road on almost all states with this price hike meaning an instant shock for a lot of new comers to Ford brand.
