Ill book in 2018, my City is starting to develop noises in suspension but everyone says its looking fine
No visible issues but knowing how cars age, I want to swap as soon as possible

Who knows, maybe Toyota Rush might also be launched here in 2018, I liked the car too

Faisal Khans review of a crucial car, the 1.5 Petrol MT Ecosport
Some points from video
0-100 kmph in 10.91s(VBOX tested)
Top speed 180 kmph
Hard driving giving around 8-8.5 kmpl and smooth driving around 12.9 kmpl
So I believe it will give 15-17 kmpl on a highway drive

I really like how engine sounds from video and how it revs ,
I feel this is an engine thats gonna give sleepless nights to Hondas legendary 1.5l iVTEC

Yeah, coming from some epic engines like 1.3 MJD and 1.5 IVTEC, Im liking the 1.5 Dragon figures, cant wait to TD soon
Long term reliability in front of 1.5 IVTEC is my only concern but its probably worth the risk over the competition(except Hyundai of course)

just came back from TD of titanium manual petrol, contrary to many views i have read on different posts, there was absolutely no vibrations on start. the engine was super smooth, 80+km/hr on 3rd gear and there was no engine noise inside. for silver titanium MT petrol, max 3 weeks of waiting period.

The SA told something which i wanted to recheck, maybe people can help here. he told that 2018 make model would be available only after march 2018 and till then 2017 made vehicles are sold. i highly doubt this.

This is true as Ford is an unusual company that gives few weeks holiday during December months,
So probably November last week the production for 2017 will end and will resume by January , so in effect February will be the month when 2018 model Ecosports will be available for delivery and the SAs put a 1 month buffer in case of any late arrival.

End of January to Feb 1st week is when you can expect the 2018 make. March 2018 sounds too stretched. May be he is trying to close on this sale as early as possible. Knowing that 208 model would be available in march, you would not want to wait and book the car immediately. Appears to be a sales trick IMO. Just call some more dealers in your area and reconfirm.

congrats.. so you paid the final amount or will pay it in 2018? usually prices are hiked in jan.
I haven't made any other payments yet apart from the booking amount since I haven't decided yet. Once I am sure will surely see what can be done but I doubt if Ford will increase the prices considering the car launched only in November and they will have very less sales in December. Also my SA mentioned that Ford will not be sending vehicles between December 15th to January 15th. I found this odd but then I had read somewhere that Ford usually closes during this period.

Drove the news ecosport Diesel titanium + loved the interiors and the drive. No turbo lag and clean sweep it feels quite like a petrol engine unlike the turbo lag of DDIS. Is this TDCI engine BS VI compliant?

Also a bit confused between to go for a Honda City ivtec MT and Ford Ecosport TDCI manual. Honda City quality off late has gone down by a huge margin, however the resale is better and good after sales. Ford on the other hand has a better Ground clearance tough build quality.

Any Comments from fellow group members please
