Please check once again for ES Titanium petrol vs Nexon XZ+ petrol. It almost goes up to 80k if you compare the OTR prices.
Yes i agree that no one can match with Ecosport Titanium+ in terms of features offering on that price range. But i am in the market with 10L budget, and it is going to be tough to finalise between these two variants.
I think the On road price Mumbai is much higher than whats here in Trivandrum and even Delhi
Maybe thats what makes such a big difference

Not before feb end or march you would be able to get the delivery of next fiscal year manufactured car, also keep in mind that if there are any changes if prices declared by ford you would need to pay that final price.
Even if i book it in dec, i will have to pay the changed price of 2018?

In that case, i would rather book in 2018 rather than get my money blocked for 1 month.

Yes. I booked my Ecosport yesterday by paying booking amount of INR 30k with the instruction that I want a 2018 manufactured car even if I was to get in Feb 2018.

Next year when I get my car allocated is when I pay the entire amount and they will hand over the keys to me.

What if the company hikes the price in 2018, what would be the final amount applicable to you, the current booking amount or the hiked 2018 price?

I completely agree. I am yet to see a facelift without price hikes and this is one! People demanded for a top end AT which so many manufacturers miss. Ford has provided two options of AT for those with limited budgets and those who can afford the full package.
Actually it is other way around, Ford increased the prices of Ecosport just recently and played very smartly by creating a hype of no price difference in New launch.

Still, the pricing is great and this will add further cut throat competition in the segment.

Another point about AMT in Nexon is that AMT will complement Nexon's high torque engines and we might not see the famous Jerks associated with AMT cars. Do check new Dzire AMT and its refignment now.

Further adding to the point if Tata will launch 6 speed AMT with paddle shift then it can disrupt the market as the info I got from someone that this 6S AMT unit is such a piece of art and performance.

Had checked out the DZire Petrol AMT. It is smoother than my Celerio AMT but still the headnod exists. A torque converter is still far superior.

I too have tried new Dzire AMT DDis and it still is far inferior to any torque converter AT, but yes it does feel better in Dzire, but still its got lot of pull back effect specially in inclines and in bumper to bumper traffic, 1st few gears are still no way polished like a torque converter, but as I have mentioned before, for some the cost saved and the ease the left foot gets are more important than how a car feels to drive, so yes, in and Indian context an AMT will definitely give the brand attention and sales.

Checked on Team BHP. Variant wise the Difference between Petrol and Diesel was 66K-68K. By that logic Deducting the amount from the Diesel Trend+ and Diesel Titanium +, it seems Ford in Charging around 90K extra for the Trend+ Auto and 100K for Tit+ Auto. So Paddle shifters cost 10K?

This where Nexon engines will shine with high torque and make it smooth, still Torque converters AT will be better, however, the FE and maintenance will be pretty high vs AMT units

Invoice gets generated at the time of delivery so whatever price is applicable then is what I pay. So Yes, if Ford was to increase the price, I will end up paying a higher price.

I will be travelling next month so I am in hurry to take delivery immediately. I would use this and next month to
1. Take test drive of Automatic. The dealership currently only has Diesel and Petrol manual for test drive
2. Check all colors and decide which one I wan to go with. Currently undecided between Lightning Blue and Smoke Grey

The only advantage of booking now is that come January, I will be the first in queue at this dealership to take delivery of AT variant if my chosen color gets allocated to them.

Can anyone say what is this "emergency Brake Assist" in Titanium + ecosport?. In some cars abroad you have radar based braking but one can hardly expect that in an Indian product. oops got it, it is just increasing the Brake pressure in case of an emergency.
