I meant the type of bulb the foglamp will use, you want to find the ideal balance between light output and power consumption for your purposes.

Rear parking sensors are a HUGE help! Especially in tight spaces like residential colonies or crowded markets, it makes entering and exiting a breeze! I find reverse camera a bit useless, but that's up to you.

A suggestion I got from my dealer when buying my car was to wait for a few months before getting seat covers, to allow the seat cushions to settle, otherwise the covers may get loose over time, I found that to be quite sound advice. Ironically it has been nearly 2 years and I still haven't had the chance to buy the seat covers! [;)]

That's definitely something interesting, I'm sure there would be another EcoSport owner here who knows what that's all about!

I am also waiting for some ES owner to comment on this fog lamp mystory post that only i will be able to decide on bulbs n all since if there are warrenty implications i would spend extra to get the same from dealer and will use the same bulbs etc as provided, thanx for thge suggestion for rear parking sensors, i was bit confussed if to go for Camera or not, BTW do u have rear parking sensor with display IRVM, I took seat covers for my swift 6 years back within 3-4 days of purchase and till date they are intact with out any complaints, and this is the reason i would like to go to the same shop even for my new purchase ( not only covers but everything i took from him was VFM)

Sounds like a plan...

I personally don't like those awkward clip-on type mirrors for the parking sensors, I have a small display on the dash that shows the min. distance and relative distance from each side of the vehicle. The display incorporates the buzzer as well.

Here's a pic I took while installing:

If you want I can send you a pic of how I concealed the wire and what the display looks like in action... [:D]

Picture's aren't uploading. I will look into it, maybe even post a DIY guide to installing parking sensors when I get the chance!

Wanna go in for Bosch or Sparco - which is compatible & effective.
Need to change the originals.

2. Also want a DRL for ES not a integrated into the headalamp unit, but a outside strip kind of.

Re: First Drive: Ford EcoSport Test Drive Review

Hello Everyone,

This is my 1st post, but was following this thread since the day one it got created.

Finally after a long waiting i am getting my Ecosport D1.5 Titanium(O) White color by next week. SBI loan processed just in couple of days and waiting for registration to be completed.

I am planning for few accessories but need all experts advice here.

1. Spare Tyre cover,
2. Reverse camera with IRVM display,
3. Scuff plates,
4. Philips Extreme vision bulbs and
5. 3D Mats.

I am planning for the above, but anything else is advised ? Also please kindly suggest me the best shop to buy all of the above in Bangalore.

Thanks in advance,
Sri

congrats srivatsan,

who is the dealer

1. Spare Tyre cover, [costly at dealer place please get one from j c road, keeping the tire open looks good, with those default alloys]
2. Reverse camera with IRVM display [in my view its not required as default reverse sensors are doing their job pretty well]
3. Scuff plates, [this one you can take it from dealer]
4. Philips Extreme vision bulbs [must needed get it from j c road - i have quoted the shop in ecosport accessories thread pay extra paisa if needed and let the dealer fix it]
5. 3D Mats.[cheap and best one get it from j c road]

Thanks MSN1.

Elite Ford (Marathahalli) is the dealer.

I am planning for Under body coating and Paint Sealant (is this required for Diamond White Color [confused]) from 3M HSR Layout.

I have 50K budget for accessories, so please suggest me accessories which are essential / enhance the look of car.

Hi Srivatsan,

Congrats and welcome to the ES family.
My 2 cents on your query
1. Spare Tyre cover, - Dealer is expensive. Get aftermarket one. Same as OEM
2. Reverse camera with IRVM display, - Not required IMO
3. Scuff plates, - Get from Ebay or after market. If going for the illuminated variety, get from dealer. But do remember, if you have kids then its better to get the non illuminated ones.
4. Philips Extreme vision bulbs : Can buy online but as you are in Bangalore, you might get it in the shops. Easy to install DIY. There are some guides around. Google it.
5. 3D Mats. : I have gone for DIY noodle mats, based on guidance from Naveen and other forum members. Works best in Monsoon.
