I am planning to get the following for my Diamond White Ecosport :

- Illuminated scuff plates (planning to buy from ebay as the package includes scuff plates for rear doors as well and is also cheaper than the original accessory - need to convince the dealer to fix it for me)
- Sporty pedals (from dealer)
- Ambient lighting (from dealer)
- Door lock caps (ordered from Aliexpress)
- Small Carbon fibre antenna (ordered from Aliexpress)
- Head and tail lamp vinyls (ordered from Aliexpress) - have not decided yet to use them or not, but considering the delivery time, ordered them anyways.
- Hella / Philips EV (H4 60/55) bulbs for the headlamp (request suggestions from fellow members)

I initially wanted to get the side running boards as well, but my advisor recommended not to go for them beacuse of the price and also due to the fact that it will lower the effective ground clearance.

My dealer says that they don't have the stock for Ambient lighting and Sporty pedals and not expecting them to be available in a month's time, within which my ES will be delivered.

I can source these from other buyers, but I am not keen on getting them installed at an accessories shop. Can these be fitted by the dealer before taking delivery?

@vinumsv - Regarding bulb updates, the OEM bulbs in the ecosport are OSRAM Night Breaker Plus, right? In that case, from what I have read in some TAI forum is that Philips EV's are 30-40% brighter than OEM bulbs

The Default bulb comes factory fitted with ES is OSRAM ordinary bulb not night breaker, check the spare bulb cartoon box to see what kind of bulb it is..

with my 7000+ kms experiance on ES would recommend Phillips allong with fog lamps (the default one on top end varient) will do the job pretty good

Today, being a day off, I went in to enquire about few aspects of ecosport :

1. Insurance :
Got the following quotes (all rounded off) for B2B insurance policy with vehicle IDV considered as Rs 8.3 Lakhs.

Tata AIG : Rs 27000
Oriental & National insurance : Rs 20,500
New India : Rs 21000
Sundaram Finance : Rs 36000

2. Tyres :
A well know tyre dealer in TVM offered to take the stock MRF/Goodyear which the vehicle will come in, for a price of Rs 3500-4000 / piece. The approx cost of new tyres would be :

215/60 R16 : Only Yokos are available with them, which is around 9K/piece
205/60 R16 : Yoko / Bridgestone / Michellin - around 8.5 K /piece
Apollo / Goodyear / MRFs - around 6K / piece

3. Accessories :
Went to an accessories shop whose owner claims to be the first person to take delivery of an ecosport from Karali ford TVM. He has moded his ES with all available accessories and he has even done the DRL set up in his ES.
The car was not available at the shop when I went, but he requested to see the car and their work before deciding on the accessories list. I am planning to visit the shop again next week when the car is around. He quoted the following estimates (including installation) :
- LED scuff plates (both front and rear door) - Rs 2750
- Ambient lighting : Rs 650
- DRL - Rs 9000

My dealer doesn't have the accessories that I desire - so this shop might offer me what I am looking for. Will keep you guys posted once I see their modified car.

Can any one comment on the engine guard and engine cover used in Ecosport.

Have read somewhere that the new Fiesta's engine cover can fit the ES. So that's the one that goes into the bonnet. Is the engine guard mentioned in accessories list, the one that goes under the engine bay to protect the engine bay from underneath ? Assuming both these are independant - could some one please share their approx costs ?

Another accessory that I am keen on are the T10 type bulbs for interiors and parking lights. Can some one post the specification for them and also the link if they can be ordered online.
