I dont see exactly what is there to distinguish this car from a Punto Evo, which also has more than adequate ground clearance of 185mm. Other than liberating some 50-60 litre of boot space due to the wheel placed outside.
Same interiors, same powerplant..Its going to cannibalize Punto Evo or vice versa..either way, Fiat is playing the same losing game. Am totally p@@d off with this manufacturer, although they do make excellent cars.

I guess its been removed to avoid cost going up,such a big mistake by Fiat India[frustration]

With these hatchback-SUV cross overs, looks like a new category have got created which is customized and available in our country only. I doubt if such models (Fiat Aventura, Polo Cross or Etios Cross) are available in any other country around the world.

Yes they are available in other countries too.
In fact the concept of such "cross" breed evolved from Europe to support people having hobbies that requires heavy equipments in terms of storage space e.g cycling, boating, kayaking.etc. The railngs are provided for the same and and the extra storage space to accomodate other things. In India, such segment consumes are too less. People who buys such cars are mostly attracted by its visual appearance and not by the utility.

A die hard fiat fan may love this car.Selling this car at the price that fiat will ask can only enthrall FIATians. Already the evo is not selling as it must be .Pricing of this vehicle will be way above the evo and its just as dead on arrival. Just because a company wants to make use of a platform doesn't mean that the people are dumped with nonsense.And to tell the truth it is not appealing as a SUV.

Fiat Avventura Contemporary Urban Vehicle (CUV) will be launched with two engines only; renowned 1.3 liter MultiJet diesel engine delivering 93 PS maximum power and 209 Nm peak torque, and 1.4 litre PDA petrol unit producing 90 PS max. power and 115 Nm peak torque. Both power houses are already doing duty in Fiat Punto EVO. Fiat Avventura crossover will get three diesel variants, base version Active, mid-level Dynamic and top end Emotion, whereas petrol Avventura will be available in two trims, entry and mid-variant.

I do not have a slightest idea what Fiat is up to. They make excellent cars and the enthusiasts love them. The Polo GT tsi has quite a lot of demand. They can totally leave that in dust by offering a Punto t-jet, but no why would fiat do so? The 1.6MJD is their own engine, but year after year the same story. The same lagging 1.3MJD still offered on the New Punto. I think customers at this segment and spending about 8.5lacs OTR do care about engine performance and when Fiat claims to be making cars for those who love driving, why can't they just bring in the engines which they already have and make their cars exponentially more attractive to customers. Fiat is really trying hard and only needs a bit of more work by offering outstanding engines. Ok, they may not be bringing the 1.6MJD to India due to problems unknown but they already have the t-jet here, why can't they just plonk it on the Punto and make it a deliciously hot hatch! Hello Fiat, u listening? Helloo?? [frustration]

Fiat Avventura Petrol Variant is not coming in mid-level Dynamic variant and will be available only in base and range-topping – Active and Emotion – trim levels.

Apart from this incomprehensible strategy of Italian automaker, the new car has been laden with features quite commendably. Features that have been made standard across the range including 16-inch alloy wheels, functional roof rails, double folding rear seat, central door locking with foldable key, tilt hydraulic power steering, programmable speed limiter, front power windows and a set of impressive high terrain gauges (Compass and Inclinometer).
