Did I compare Toyota Corolla Altis Diesel with any other car
Only realistic try to find the segment of Altis Diesel
What makes C+ segment here engine no, power no only cost is C+ segment.
Thus Toyota Corolla Altis Diesel should be treated as flop.
P.S. Comfort + Practicality do not have direct measure of unit it is the feeling.
Well I myself is driving a Corolla Altis D-4D and what I see now a days that most of the new Corollas on the road are D-4Ds only.
Toyota Corolla was never a performance or driver's car,it was always a chauffeur driven car with a comfy rear seat and same is even today.
The Corolla has the best rear seat for chauffeur driven people who seldom take steering and hence diesel is just the perfect car for the purpose it is made.

Punto and Linea are flop models.

Last 2 months sell of punto - 600 and 800 (approximately) while competitors have more than 3K (Swift 17K, Vista 10K, Liva 4K, Polo 3.5K). Same case of Linea

Re: Exotics & Supercars Spotted in Pune

Forester isn't an exotic. It was available in India sometime back but failed to pick up. But I like the design (Especially frame less doors). Have heard that it's spares aren't easy to source now.

PS: Post moved to a more relevant thread.

Another potential flop-the Tata Venture: Had great hope when it was launched-saw it in the flesh recently-
looks good from afar...,BUT- a big but.... the fit and finish ..[frustration]
Many have reported poor mileage and plenty of problems with mechanical parts;
The price-well the Eeco killer, killed itself with the pricing!
To add insult to injury-its a BS3 and being sold in Cities like Bangalore-how?-by the dealers bribing the RTO!!!!!
All in all-(unless a majorly revised V2 version is in the pipeline) a FLOP in the making

just chill guys,Aria is not a flop, neither Punto and Linea are, Venture also is not flop.As far as these cars are under the wings of TATA they won't allow these beautiful cars to die,no matter what any XUV lover thinks.

Yes it is really a flop now. Selling 500 units in the range below 7 lakhs is very low for a van to be sold in a country like ours.

Most of the tourist owners are avoiding this vehicle mainly because of its BS3 engine, else it would have rocked the market.

You are confused buddy. here you are calling the Linea as a flop -

@ madaneeraj

Fiat is the only one responsible for the flop show of Linea, what was the need for them to shod Linea which is a heavy car with puny 1.3 multijet, when they have also got amazing 1.6 multijet in their wings.[frustration]
and now you are saying it is not. please decide!

So even at 140 units, the Aria is not a FLOP? So by your logic, tomorrow even if the sales comes down to 5 units a month, they wont be a flop because it is under the wings of TATA! Thats the comment only a biased TATA lover can pass & you are talking about XUV lovers!

Renault Fluence, I am not calling this a failed car, as this would be an insult to Aria, New Ford Fiesta's, Nano's and what not Force 1 SUVs. Not to forget Chinese SUV from PAL.

Just check this review out, funny isn't it. Guy is not saying what he want to but is only saying what he can-

Zigwheels - Renault Fluence & Toyota Corolla - First Drive and other launches - YouTube

1.5 DCI Sporty??? 2.00 Liter Petrol laid back?? Well what would be an 800 CC Maruti be called by this dude, Ultra Sportz.. 1.5 Lt diesel would be for Taxis and high end cabs what Corolla 4D is doing. 2 Liter is meant for enthusiast (if anyone happens to buy that[;)])

Jokes apart,I think he looks better on that 2 wheel scooter driven at the end of review [gun]

you misunderstood me, when i said fiat are responsible for the flop show of linea i meant that linea's performance hasn't been up to mark, however linea can not be called as a car that has already failed.Tata will ensure that linea, punto,Aria etc sell in decent nos in future. No car in production can be called 'already a failed car' IMO.
As far as xuv is concerned its a super hit car, but don't worry dude Tata has just started to sing the Aria.

I dint understand your logic, sorry.

Even if a car is not selling well, it is not a FLOP just because it is in production... Strange!

Why are you again comparing it with XUV?

Well since you said that, IMO Aria will never sell as much as XUV, even if TATA drops its prices. Whether you agree to it or not, go to the real world & have a look, people trust Mahindra's products more than TATA's. That is the precise reason every Mahindra product outsells every TATA product by a huge margin, be it Bolero v/s Sumo, Xylo v/s Grande, Scorpio v/s Safari or XUV v/s Aria.

TATA is trying to be the jack of all trades but a master of none IMHO. Mahindra on the other hand build only what it excels in, that is UVs.
