This demand : supply has been artificially kept high by keeping artificial waiting time so as to show how successful it is. In reality, seeing the nos. of sale, one should not take more than 10 days to get the delivery.
So what brother? The a artificial time turned successful in the competition and a leader in its class so it cannot be called as a flop

Remember, Maruti too did the same with Dzire & when people tried shifting towards Manza, the Dzire period got reduced
Well i must say they should have tried better methods by spending some more time. And very true that Manza is a great car than Dzire.
Well done TATA[thumbsup]

Well,Logan after its re-birth has saved herself from getting failed, although its still scoring just 33/100,but its passed now.

What about the FORCE ONE?...I think its lost even before entering the market.

Yes its no match for Scorpio and even Safari! Because of too low sales and service outlets and the missing of two essential features ABS and AIRBAGS where people do not want to pour so much of money.

That was called Baleno Altura launched back in 2000. Basically the station wagon avatar of Baleno which came at a relatively high price tag of Rs.8,48,098 (Ex.Showroom, Delhi). It's an extremely a rare sight now but station wagons never performed well in India anyway. Skoda Octavia Combi is another example.

Well reaction has some action and vice-versa, A- star did picked up initially being a Maruti Avtar, but did the car offered anything more than others? Only good thing about car is M & MASS. An average Joe goes to Maruti looking for value- see an A -Star, ask for price and thinks-
Did it give me more space? why not a Wagon R!
Did it give me power, ride and style? Why not Swift!
Did it give me VFM, is it cheap? Why not Alto

I want something cute, reliable and distinct, hmmm car looks sharper, Lets go for A Star.
How many of us feel like that??? numbers do tell you a story. It has never put charts on fire which is expected from Maruti.
A* is a flop as far as Maruti is concerned. imagine if this would have been produced by FIAT or Ford, it would have been a disaster. It is Maruti, which can even survive selling cars without engine for some time[clap]
Verito has decent competitors in Indigo, Dzire, IKON. For a car which looks cheap start from the outset I must say Mahindra, along with buyers have done a great job.

Other worthy fails are Yeti, Great product if you can live with looks, SUV that does not intimidate but gets the job done.
Suzuki Grand Vitara- Diesel and seating capacity?
Mitsubishi- Outdated, razor thin network, who would put hard earned money when everybody else is not.
Linea- I feel sad when see the sales numbers. Car deserves better. No doubts that it has got worthy competitors in SX4,City, Verna and now Vento. Seriously doubts FIAT's commitment towards Indian market, or they are busy selling Engines??
Should have begin with bringing in some credibility to the brand. You know customers in 8-10 lac cannot take risk, I would say most of them are upper middle class and would not take a risk. Story could be different if they would have started with a small hatch, fair to say FIAT does not come with a H band.

@ madaneeraj

Fiat is the only one responsible for the flop show of Linea, what was the need for them to shod Linea which is a heavy car with puny 1.3 multijet, when they have also got amazing 1.6 multijet in their wings.[frustration]

As far as A-Star goes, have you sat in the rear, well there is virtually no space, also no boot space+quircky looks = super flop.[;)]

Yeti is not a flop car IMO though it has also not put the sales chart on fire.
