You’re correct but it’s almost two months since the car has launched and there’s no hint about the number of bookings it has received so far. It’s sure that initial response has not been well and even more so because of the Force Motors’ approach. Either some of their dealerships are partially opened or some do not have demo vehicles at all.

And add the lack of dealerships and missing key features to being pulled down.

This is what i say what a failure is all about. Less volume is what the failure relies on whatsoever futuristic, rich and VFM it may be .
By this logic, all the premium luxury saloons like Merc S Class, Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, Jaguar XJ etc. should be termed as flop cars as these are not widely seen, right ??

Also, a high volume car need not be good car either. In most cases, it will be a cheap car.

We have to compare sales figures with their respective competitors or within their segments.

We cannot expect S class to do swift like figures not can we expect i10 to do cayenne like figures.

Also, a high volume car need not be good car either. In most cases, it will be a cheap car.
Here, we are not talking about which car is good or bad. we are just talking about which car is a flop, which in no way means, they are bad cars. yes, they are cars which dint suit the market, for some reason or the other.

Again I have to tell you Xover - Don't Worry be Happy

Aria is a reasonable success considering it's price, the Brand image of Tata Cars (not considered as a premium brand), so called Taxi image, negative publicity and widely published poor After Sales Service.

See this in view of Maruti Suzuki's fate with Kizashi. An attempt by another non premium brand to sell a premium car. Inspite of the hype created, it sold only less than 200 so far (17 numbers is Sept '11).

So you are right

It seems you are fighting here as if an entry/posting by your friend is deciding the future of Aria.
Thanks autosafari for standing by my side, such is the negativity for tata motors that no matter what they do people will always criticise TAMO even if they are pioneers of unseen segments in our country , I don't want to comment further on this issue as it would start another flame war which would not be appreciated by the mods here.

Once again thank you for understanding me [:)](which you know is a rarity[glasses])

Chevy Cruze is not a failure. Its a success.

What about Sonalika Rhino?
Sonalika Rhino had good success in North, especially Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand. It didn't do well in West & South as Sonalika tractors aren't famous in these areas. However, what I have heard is that this car is the one which feels very much like Qualis & the engine too was good in its segment.

Remember this? It’s a Mahindra Voyager which was produced in 1997 in collaboration with Mitsubishi Motors.

The van miserably failed in India because there were no or little buyers that time and thus, was silently taken back in 2000.

Cars from Sipani Automobiles,Bangalore:
(From: Livemint.com)

Sipani Automobiles started life in 1974 as Sunrise Automotive Industries Ltd and released its first product called Badal with help from the British manufacturer of three-wheeled cars called Reliant Motor Co., which was known for its rather quirky products.

The Sipanis in 1978 released the four-wheeled contraption called Dolphin. The Dolphin was a two-door car, based on a discarded Reliant model called the Kitten. The Dolphin was a hit for a brief while, mainly because its body was made of fiberglass, an innovation in the Indian market then.

The Dolphin was mainly sold in south India and could never gain visibility elsewhere. Since Indian families preferred the four-door Maruti 800, the Sipanis were forced to introduce a successor called Montana. The new Montana D1 was a mishmash of several automobiles. It was based on Daihatsu’s Charade but had a combination of Maruti and Mahindra parts in it. To ensure 100% local content, it actually sourced a Shakti-Mitsubishi mini tractor diesel engine, which was manufactured by VST Tillers in Coimbatore.

You're welcome, Marun. This van is a rare sight now. So I thought it's a wise idea to capture it in the camera before it's completely extinct from the market. I think I also remember that commercial but would love to refresh those memories. Please do share if you happen to find it somewhere.

May be due to immediate launch of new cars with better features, looks and performance then the previous one. Also there might be some technical issues in the cars so it might be rejected by the peoples.

Having driven myself,i love the Yeti,it may look overpriced, but being true. The Yeti deserves some cash.
No other SUV drives like her,she is a 5 seater and the only compact SUV with nearly all the capabilities of the bigger siblings.
Its a hatch for the hatchback practicality lovers, its a sedan for sedan ride and handling and FE lovers and its an SUV for cross country movers as well as somewhat off-roading capabilities too.
