Force One, New Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Santa Fe, Renault Koleos, Renault Fluence, Suzuki Kizashi, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Skoda Yeti, Toyota Prius are amongst some of those latest cars in India which have already registered their name in the list of unsuccessful models.

Hope new ford fiesta is already added in this list.

I have chanced upon a couple of them and it was quite noisy outside.

Yes for me Aria is super hit ,To each his own mate(even if its perception). [;)]
Again I have to tell you Xover - Don't Worry be Happy[:D]

Aria is a reasonable success considering it's price, the Brand image of Tata Cars (not considered as a premium brand), so called Taxi image, negative publicity and widely published poor After Sales Service.

See this in view of Maruti Suzuki's fate with Kizashi. An attempt by another non premium brand to sell a premium car. Inspite of the hype created, it sold only less than 200 so far (17 numbers is Sept '11).

So you are right[thumbsup]

It seems you are fighting here as if an entry/posting by your friend is deciding the future of Aria.

I am glad that you didn't added Tata Aria and Tata Safari in your list of unsuccessful cars, some of our forum members are hell bent to prove that both Aria and Safari are super flops. The fact of matter is this that even though Safari is literally a 5 seater car and does not sell as taxi, and is full of niggles, yet it has got such appeal that now I see white SAFARIs everywhere I go.
As far as Aria is concerned , for me it has done what no body expected it to do,i.e. to sell more than 3000 units in its first year of arrival, and even though it has not stirred the market like XUV, but hold on mate ,the journey of tata Aria has just begun, I know in the years to come it will become a legend like Tata Safari. Now if Tata re-positions Aria in light of XUV, it will find much more takers than what it has found till date, but still it would be stupid on behalf of us to call tata Aria as super flop obsolete product.

I would not consider Tata Safari as a flop. And as far as we talk about the Aria, I can understand your sentiments about this car. Though it is a capable vehicle with incorrect positioning, but your attempt to convince others in every related thread to follow your opinion is not possible, neither would it leave a nice impression. Each one is entitled to their opinion but in case you feel that someone is incorrect, try to make them understand once and if it fails, be respectful and move on instead of repeating the same again elsewhere. Hope you understand.

Shouldn't we give Force One some time before we write it off?

For me it goes like this!!!

A car when it comes to market, It has to be accepted by more number of pals in terms of pricing, feature, reliability and the quality.

Accepted as in, good number of units per month. As the number moves up, more visible on road.
I couldn't read the above posts, But the thing that strike my mind instantly is TATA safari should't be considered as a flop and as 350Z said. I could still see the safaris setting the roads on fire.

As far as Aria is concerned, counts weren't much appealing. Though its good in so many aspects, The volumes were very less than expected. I hardly see one on road now a days. This is what i say what a failure is all about. Less volume is what the failure relies on whatsoever futuristic, rich and VFM it may be .

Can we consider car still in production as failed ones?
I believe some of them can rise again any moment.

I cannot accept chevy cruze as failure...I see lot of them on road.

Hi Jayadev,

Really a valid question. This reminds me of a Jazz story. It was way too overpriced when introduced. But now, its not so. Some good number goes to it monthly.

The raise is completely on the manufacturer's hand. In future, if TATA reduces the price of aria, and it shows some good numbers we can put that back to the successful list. At present, It has to sit on the failure list. :P

Let it go buddy. As Vibs mentioned, please dont try to enforce your thoughts on someone else.

I tried reasoning with you on why I feel the Aria is a flop. But you disagreed. Matter ends there. So, lets just leave it at that. Why crib about it continuously? As someone else rightly pointed out, just because I say the product is a flop, is it going to affect it's sales? NO.

But I would request you to be a bit more sensible & stop poking in each thread ranting about your dream car. That becomes a bit too much. For example, out of my entire list, you took out only the TATAs as an objection. Why not the other cars?

For example, in some threads you made statements like stupid people buy crappy mahindra cars & not classy tata products, something like that. I am a mahindra fan & owner. Wont that hurt our sentiments? We tried to reason with you & left it at that. Do you see us going to every TATA thread saying how bad the product is?

All said & done, I understand your sentiments & I sincerely hope you buy your dream car one day.

You’re correct but it’s almost two months since the car has launched and there’s no hint about the number of bookings it has received so far. It’s sure that initial response has not been well and even more so because of the Force Motors’ approach. Either some of their dealerships are partially opened or some do not have demo vehicles at all.
