Having driven myself,i love the Yeti,it may look overpriced, but being true. The Yeti deserves some cash.
No other SUV drives like her,she is a 5 seater and the only compact SUV with nearly all the capabilities of the bigger siblings.
Its a hatch for the hatchback practicality lovers, its a sedan for sedan ride and handling and FE lovers and its an SUV for cross country movers as well as somewhat off-roading capabilities too.
But failed to impress buyers [thumbsdown]

The entry of the Korean automobile major, Daewoo Motors India Ltd. (Daewoo) in the Indian passenger car market was heralded as a milestone for the industry. This was because Daewoo was the multinational to challenge the might of the market leader Maruti Udyog Ltd. (MUL). Daewoo's first vehicle, the 1500 cc Cielo was launched in three versions (Cielo, Cielo GLX and Cielo GLE) in July 1995.Daewoo recorded a loss of Rs 351.4 million in the six months ended March 1998 as sales declined to Rs 1.22 billion from Rs 2.7 billion in the corresponding period in the previous year. Daewoo was surprised to realize that its globally tried and trusted formula of providing excellent service with low prices had failed miserably in India. Daewoo's miseries nevertheless did not come as a surprise to the industry watchers.

But today Daewoo cars are selling well under the badge of chevrolet. I don't get how a car can't be popular and the same thing comes with a different badge and sells well. Same thing in aus/nz but the daewoo comes as holden here

How about Volkswagen Vento in this list.Sales figure and company itself decided to launch new product named Rapid out of vento
Volkswagen Vento cannot be termed as a failure just because Skoda has launched a similar looking sedan called Rapid. Both the manufacturers are working as a separate entity in India and still do compete with each other.

Thanks. But I was looking for that ad.

Well said. I also had a good experience with Yeti at performance drive. Only reason for its failure was a big price and small dimension. These two things don’t go well with each other in Indian market.

Reason is lack of trust and reliability. Daewoo quit India because they went bankrupt.

Can we consider car still in production as failed ones?
I believe some of them can rise again any moment.

I cannot accept chevy cruze as failure...I see lot of them on road.
The Kizashi is a in production car that is a failure. However it was expected. What was not expected was the Ritz failure. Despite the non availibility of the Swift, no one is buying the Ritz. The other ugly Maruti (Dzire) meanwhile is a huge success.
The Cruze is by no means a failure.

Remember this? It’s a Mahindra Voyager which was produced in 1997 in collaboration with Mitsubishi Motors.

The van miserably failed in India because there were no or little buyers that time and thus, was silently taken back in 2000.

It has now been successfully replaced by Tata Winger.

Btw, other flop car was Tata Indigo Marina, though the ad was good.

Instead you may see the downfall in the Civic's sales now a days, can't call it a fail, but still considering the glory the car has seen in the recent past, its quite a failure.

Koleos and the Fluence are massive flops.

And TBH, I dont see the Pulse doing any better when released in the market.

We forgot the San Storm car. However, I appreciate it for being first Indian affordable convertible car. For those who forgot it, here is the pic.

Btw, if sales of Civic is concerned for calling it flop, then CRV, Ford Endy & Fortuner too are flops in current scenario.

San storm was already mentioned. It was not appealing to Indian customers.

We consider a car as a flop by comparing the respective segments.
For your information Fortuner has more demand despite being a premium SUV

This demand : supply has been artificially kept high by keeping artificial waiting time so as to show how successful it is. In reality, seeing the nos. of sale, one should not take more than 10 days to get the delivery.

Remember, Maruti too did the same with Dzire & when people tried shifting towards Manza, the Dzire period got reduced [lol].
