One query from my side...having a GC of 200mm, did you hid to climb inside(like ingress in a Tata Sumo, Safari) or is it just like a hatch/sedan to enter?

Very very easy to get inside . No where like the safari , Scorpio types .
Its better then hatches and sedans . Its as same as the duster IMHO And a Audi q5

O.T.: I was wondering, is the GC comparable to Sumo? I mean how much is Sumo's GC? Googled but didn't get any concrete answer.

Yes I completely agree with Raja here it is very easy to get in and out but I found the boot a tad bit tiny and in terms of interiors well I found the back seats better than our new Fiesta.

I was at RCity as well yesterday and Raja actually I did see you there you were in a black shirt if I remember correctly.

Watching the crash test video of Ecosport, and Ecosport does it well with 4 out of 5 stars, however watch the body roll(or jump) after the impact. Higher GC has higher CG and this result. Most of the the times after collision effects causes serious damage.
Watch how Honda City Manages it , I think any Sedan would do the same.

Yes I completely agree with Raja here it is very easy to get in and out but I found the boot a tad bit tiny and in terms of interiors well I found the back seats better than our new Fiesta.

Hey sorry man was with family whenever you are going to check another vehicle do let me know shall definitely meet up pm me the details.

As for the ES I loved the exterior did not like the boot and found the recline on the back seats a little weird. Honestly I did not like the leather on the seats I prefer the fabric as I have on our fiesta.

I have mixed reactions about the ES, please keep in mind I have never sat in a mini SUV like Duster or Quanto so I have a notion that when a vehicle is an SUV you have to climb into one. The ES is a mini SUV so you dont have to climb into it. This is not saying that its low its definitely higher than our Fiesta and you just sit down in the ES no bending or crouching needed great for older people or people with back problems. The car is very attractive in my opinion. Loved the little electronic button on the boot handle to open the boot.

I felt if you are upgrading from a hatch to ES you will love it however its not a replacement for a sedan.

For the observations well here goes

1. Fit and Finish: Good nothing to complain same as our Fiesta although I prefer the black accent of the central console plastic in comparison to the silver in our Fiesta (strictly my view) Nothing to complain here loved the blue illumination in comparison to the orange illumination of the dash in our Fiesta.

2. Driving Seat comfort and visibility: Again its a ford I liked the front driving seats. Absolutely didnt like the quality of the black leather on the seats, I prefer the fabric ones we have in our Fiesta.

3. Back seat comfort: Rear seats are better compared to the Fiesta as those annoying head rests in our Fiesta has been dumped but the rear seat is a bit too reclined for my comfort but in terms of space ES is a comfortable place to be in. In terms of visibility yes the ride is jacked up but it still gives you a feeling of being in a car and not a SUV probably as I have a notion that SUVs have to be much higher up. Not to say this is a bad thing for the ES as I have already mentioned getting in and out will be easier for people with back problems and the elderly. But boot of the ES is small in my opinion in comparison to the Fiesta

I personally feel ES is a great looking vehicle and people who are upgrading from a hatchback will love it but people who are looking for a sedan replacement might have mixed opinions about it.

Thanks ronz, for a very nice comparative review. As per your review I think I will like Ecosport . Since boot is not a big requirement for me as I am managing my stuff right now with my swift any thing bigger would satisfy me.
Nice to know that back seat comfort is better or almost equal to your fiesta. I hope the seat inclination can be adjusted.

This is good news. But many people who are seeing ES on malls are going back disappointed with one thing or other. And these people don't know that final product would be much more finished and better than the display one.

That is definitely good news if true. Ford has built some thing really appealing to the public and now they should not spoil the enthusiasm by giving low class interiors. Hope they will atleast have segmented interiors where refinements would be given at levels so that everyone is happy. All the people who are cribbing over the finish(including me) might forget it altogether if the pricing is justified. Fit and finish can be added later too where ever possible.
But hope Ford comes out with some dates now.

I have not seen a ES in flesh so far , but if the interiors are like new ford fiesta(we have one in our office) then its fine as they are appealing and I did not find any cheap quality in this car.

One thing is sure in India every one wants a Merc quality at the price of a Beat

I found the quality(on the pic) to be on the lower side which i don't like at all.

On a lighter note Beat has great quality interiors, common buddy, when one spends his hard earned money, he definitely looks at the quality aspects! and in India it's still a luxury for many people who hears the term "Car"
