It was actually official , god knows how they changed the venue , btw it is right now till tomorrow displayed in r city mall ghatkoper .

So many pages filled with many reviews and pictures, thanks for Sharing guys and Raja thanks for quick updates about the car and pics, appreciate it.

In my view i did not like the ES very much as the front looks too aggressive for my taste to be an SUV but the side profile and the rear end looks good, my friend called it figo on steroids

Thanks for the pics & first hand experience. But after seeing pic, I doubt whether I will see this in our garage. My friends are well built (not fat but too muscular) & avg height is 5'11". I won't be able to sit in front for sure on drivers seat. And with seat pushed completely back, it will be too cramped, & I am sure, that the steering will touch my knees for sure.
Bah, my Storme Vs XUV is still remaining. This March ending is making me mad.

So many pages filled with many reviews and pictures, thanks for Sharing guys and Raja thanks for quick updates about the car and pics, appreciate it.

In my view i did not like the ES very much as the front looks too aggressive for my taste to be an SUV but the side profile and the rear end looks good, my friend called it figo on steroids

Vishwas, that's exactly my take as of now, not seen it yet, Why I don't like the front? may be I am too old to like it

Side profile looks neat and unique.

Right now just waiting to see it in person. don't know when though. Looks like auto markets slowing down in India which is good for new car buyers. Hope by the time Ecosport is marketed more options or atleast confirmed news on other vehicles such as Fiesta Facelift, City Facefilt may be XA Alpha etc will be available. That should help many waiting for Ecosport.

On a lighter note, my daughter(8 Years old) who is very impatient with Ecosport launch said yesterday "Ford is delaying Ecosport purposefully, see the Ford slogan 'Go further' they keep pushing the release further.

A fellow member has already said that rear seat legroom is not greater than i20. I am sorry to say, but I don't think this will be the car for you to upgrade from swift. Better wait & then spend more & buy Storme. ES looks good for buyers who want to buy Swift or i20, definitely not those who plan to upgrade from B+ hatches.

You are right S Class, I am aware of that. That is the deal breaker for me. But any case would like to see it personally and make a call. In my case though I need a city cruiser than the high way. Roads in my city are narrow and parking is a issue. Ecosport looked very compact and agile for city commuter. But yes the rear seat MUST be comfortable or comparable to compact sedans atleast.

What's your height? or height of people who will be occupying rear seats? Because I am 5.7 I had no issues with rear seat even when the front seat was pulled back completely. It would be more or less same with regards to space. Just that You would be able to go few more remote places, which you doubt to travel with your swift. And this is purely because of High GC. If one goes with the expactation of SUVish space. Big NO NO from me. Don't even try to check out the vehicle, you will be disappointed.

Not the driver seat completely back buddy! just so that I can operate clutch and able to driver the car comfortably.

Well regarding the sedans in my list are Global Fiesta, Verna, City. As long as I see the similar spacing I am fine with it. FYI my swift offers me about 1 and 1/2" inch knee space with my driving seat setup.

There will be decent space left behind after one adjust his seat for his driving position . And practically all were checking the same thing .

The ES is a compact SUV , the word compact itself proves that space will not be like full blown SUVs .

The space is like i20 , and overall look given is of a urban SUV . The ES is a option for people who want something with higher GC , Suvish looks and good gadgetry and superb handling who generally end up otherwise buying i20 .

ES is for 4 adults and One kid . Or 2 adults and 3 kids . Or 3 adults and 2 kids .

One query from my side...having a GC of 200mm, did you hid to climb inside(like ingress in a Tata Sumo, Safari) or is it just like a hatch/sedan to enter?
